Housewives defend the boss

"We would never characterize our set as a hostile environment," say Nicollette Sheridan's former castmates.

Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman have rallied around Desperate Housewives writer Marc Cherry in the wake of damning claims by former cast mate Nicollette Sheridan.

Sheridan made a list of claims against her former boss claiming she was unfairly dismissed from the US series and noted a list of bullying incidents.

But her former cast are publicly supporting their current boss, releasing a joint statement: “It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing.

“We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicolette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment. It is, in fact, the opposite. The friendships and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producers have shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day.”

Hatcher also responded to her name being brought up in the suit. She adds in a statement:

“I’m honored to stand with Eva, Felicity and Marcia, as a group and clarify that our set environment is nothing less than an amazingly positive experience. I have never felt discriminated against. In fact, I have felt heard and respected by Marc and other executives in regards to both my professional and personal needs.”

  1. The ladies are going to support Marc Cherry, because he holds their careers, in his hands.

Nicollette Sheridan has been forgotten, since she was killed off the show. But unfortunately she might have sealed her fate by suing Marc Cherry. No one will hire fbecause of this lawsuit. It makes her look difficult to work with.

….and in Hollywood she is already to old. She is almost 50.

So, I hope she has money put away because she will not be working, for a while.

  2. Well of course they’re going to say that while they’re still receiving their pay cheques from ABC. Somehow this statement doesn’t make me question the validity of the claims.
