The second season of Leverage returns to the W Channel tomorrow with more for the five-member team of thieves, grifters and con artists.

The second season moved from Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon, with its case including Timothy Hutton (Ordinary People) stars along with Gina Bellman (Coupling), Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf and Aldis Hodge.

Hutton stars as Nate Ford, a former insurance investigator determined to bring down the kind of corrupt bigwigs whose neglect led to the death of his son. His highly skilled team includes Sophie Devereaux (Bellman), a grifter who uses her acting skills to corner her marks; Eliot Spencer (Kane), a “retrieval specialist” with bone-crunching fighting skills; Alec Hardison (Hodge), a gadget and technology wizard who keeps the team connected and informed; and Parker (Riesgraf), a slightly off-center thief adept at rappelling off buildings or squeezing into tight places.

During the first season, the five loners learned to work together as a team, putting their energy, quick minds and keen intellects and unique skills together to work toward securing justice for society’s underdogs.. They also developed a strong emotional bond, with Sophie especially growing feelings for Nate.

After the destruction of their headquarters and the decision to go their separate ways at the end of the first season, the team now finds itself together again when Nate witnesses an attempted murder of a bank whistleblower. Nate’s new Boston digs soon become the operational headquarters from which the team will conduct their activities.

Series 2, Ep 1. The Beantown Bailout Job. Nate Ford reluctantly reassembles the team to pit the local Irish mob against a banker who is gaming a government bailout. If they survive, Nate has to deal with four thieves who’ve decided he needs them in his life, whether he likes it or not.

It returns 7.30pm Sundays on the W Channel.
