16 entrants for Australia’s Next Top Model

Australia’s Next Top Model has announced its finalists for its sixth season, lifting the number of entrants from 13 to 16.

Ranging in age from 16 – 20, there are 6 girls under the age of 18 this year, one more than 2009.

The 16 finalists are:

Brittney Dudley (16),
Joanna Broomfield (18),
Valeria Nilova (16)

WA:
Claire Smith (18),
Jessica Moloney (19)
Sally Geach (18)

The winner lands representation for 12 months by model agency Priscilla’s and an eight-page fashion spread in Harpers Bazaar.

Priscilla Leighton Clark, founder of Priscilla’s Model Management said, “I am always so impressed by the girls Australia’s Next Top Model discovers, but this season we have really been blown away by the calibre of models entering the competition.

“The momentum has built and Australian girls now understand that you can have a wonderful international modelling career from being discovered through the show. We are particularly excited this year to see such a broad mix of girls in the finals and, as a result, have had to increase the talent pool to see who will surface as this year’s winner.”

This year Photographer Jez Smith, who was a regular judge in series 3, returns to judge alongside Charlotte Dawson and Alex Perry.

Hosted by Sarah Murdoch the new season premieres on FOX8 in July.
