An international student working as a salesman for Foxtel who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl in her front yard in Melbourne’s south-east has been jailed for three years and nine months’ jail, with a non-parole period of two years and three months.
In September last year Mujahed Ur-Rahman, 29, approached the resident of a Noble Park home to buy a Foxtel subscription.
The Age reports that after she declined, Ur-Rahman went outside to the front yard and picked up the woman’s nine-year-old daughter and kissed her on the cheek before he sexually penetrated the girl in front of her younger brother.
The Court learned Ur-Rahman arrived in Australia in October 2008 but had no social life and spent most of his time studying and working for Foxtel.
He also pleaded guilty to an additional two charges relating to separate incidences on another victim, committing an indecent act on a child aged under 16 and knowingly possessing child pornography.
Ur-Rahman had pleaded guilty to one count of sexually penetrating a child aged under 16.
Time already spent in jail would be counted as already served.
Last year a Foxtel spokesperson told TV Tonight, “This is a very concerning allegation which we treat with the utmost seriousness.
“Both Foxtel and sales force partner Salmat have co-operated fully with the police in their investigations.”

3 years for what he did is pathetic should throw away the key and i bet he will be isolated from the other prisoners as well what ever happend to justice
And if this scum is an International student, he had better be deported after he “enjoys” his jail term.!!
Exactly. This girl has to live with it the rest of her life & this animal gets to resume his miserable life in 3 years.
Once again our pi**weak justice system lets us down.
