Good news for Nine titles today with both Chuck and V set to be renewed.

Neither of the Warner Bros. shows have been a guaranteed return given their middling ratings, but both are expected to receive 13-episode orders.

Chuck, which has already screened on Pay TV, began airing on GO! on Wednesday.

  1. Woooo Hoooo i actually like V, hopefully with a second season they will wrap it up and have a proper ending rather than dragging it out.

  2. Surprised about V, it really isn’t the type of series that should continue past 1 season. I’ve started to find it boring, the character development ( or lack there of) is the biggest thing missing in V.

  3. Dr. TV if you remember the original then you’re not meant to see them. It’s a not so subtle take on the terrorism threat and the fact the ‘Aliens’ can be anyone. Just like the original played on the fears on the day.

  4. V, really? It seems like a copy of 4400 as well, it just doesn’t seem to me to stand on its own despite having a couple (just a couple) of decent actors
Chuck, meh, it’s ok but there’s better

  5. Been watching V since it’s started and I’m yet to see an actual alien in it. Very boring and drawn out, might have to dig up the old 80’s series on VHS.

  6. renual standards are really dropping in the US. chuck joins dollhouse and til’ death as some of the lowest rating shows to ever get a renual. good news for the fans though.

it’s a shame V looks like it 1 of very few serial sci fi’s left after Lostand FlashForward are gone. i watch V an hour after Lost on wednesdays and the drop in quality is so noticeable. i hope we can get another sci-fi up to the standard of lost soon. but with 0/78 pilots being sci fi this year i won’t hold my breath.

  7. Yay for Chuck!

I noticed when Yvonne Strahovski was here promoting her new local movie they really didn’t talk much about Chuck (from what I saw) wich they (Nine) would have done some interviews on Today for the show, or maybe Fox8 to promote the next season.

BTW I didn’t think V would be returning.

  8. Fabulous news about Chuck. We have been watching V, but we hoped it would be cancelled because it is not very good. Hopefully it improves next season.
