Nine is returning British series Afterlife, which follows the activities of a psychic medium who communicates with the spirits of the dead.

It stars Lesley Sharp, Andrew Lincoln and Anna Wilson-Jones. Guest stars in the second season include David Threlfall, Aidan McCardle, Zoe Telford, Liam Cunningham.

Alison Mundy is still recovering from the traumatic scene that put her in a coma. She realises that she has dedicated her life to helping the spirits and when she sees one on the roadside, she is determined to find out what has happened.

It returns at 11:30pm Sunday June 6th.

  1. Fantastic! This is a very enjoyable show.

    Oh wait, having seen David Threlfall’s name I realise I’ve seen some of these episodes on UKTV. But I missed a few, so good to see it again.

  2. It’s been shown on cable a couple of times. It’s much better than the first season and the ending is brilliant. Shame there’s no more of it.

    it’s too bad there were only two seasons, the show was good enough for a lot more.
