Rowntree happy enough, thanks.

After Kerri-Anne's job? "I am very happy with where my life is at right now," says Catriona Rowntree.

Last week there were media reports that Catriona Rowntree was hedging for Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s role in morning television.

Rowntree, it was claimed, was looking for a schedule with less globe-trotting now she has become a new mum.

Today she answers some of those claims in an article to news.com.au.

Kerri-Anne is amazing at her job and, while delighted to have filled in for her in the past, I am focused on my current role and my family. I am very happy with where my life is at right now,” she said.

“I came from a fear I’d be fired with this new development in my life, (but) I have had all these opportunities since I became a mum.

“I understand our employers are looking for the person who is reliable and can work hard, but in this day and age if you want the right person you have to be malleable as an employer and they (staff) will reward you.”

Rowntree continues to juggle her Getaway role with domestic life on a farm near Geelong.

Meanwhile Kerri-Anne Kennerley declined to comment about the claims and reports of on-set friction with producers when approached by TV Tonight last week.
