Latest reports on Charlie Sheen and Two and a Half Men are that the actor is ready to walk away from the show.
“Charlie is really into his sobriety now,” one source told TMZ. “He likes the show but it brings back bad memories.”
But it could still just be a negotiating tactic.
According to TMZ, Sheen stands to make between $60 – $100m for the next two years, depending on how negotiations proceed. Co-star Jon Cryer stands to make $20m over the next 2 years if the comedy comes back.
Meanwhile Jennifer Taylor, who plays Chelsea said, “If we don’t have Charlie, we don’t have a show.
“I’m just hoping we’re going to have a show.”
CBS is due to announce their Fall schedule by May 19th.
“You know what?” Taylor said. “I think it’s a toss-up. I think Charlie would be at peace if he walked away, but I hope he won’t.”

@vid – best and popular are not that same thing, I don’t think this stacks up against shows like Friends or Seinfeld or for that mater Cheers, Frasier, or many other classic shows. Yes I watch it each week (new eps only) but in recent years it’s nothing more than excuse for crude sex jokes. JMO.
The production might stop, but endless repeats aren’t called endless for nothing.
I’m in the opposite camp to my name bud, mac. Please quit, Charlie!!!
But then if he does, we’ll simply get two years of endlessly roundabouting repeats so the pain won’t actually go away…
I think their’ll only be one more season until it’s “three men” given jake’s age.
@franz chong, even if they stopped making new eps, nine will still continue to show reruns.i too am sick of all the repeats but i don’t mind the new eps.
although i think its just a negotiating ploy, obviously the show would be unable to go on without charlie, i hope he stays.
enews must not read peoples comments as many people have posted about the name mistake and yet the article still says christine on enews
@ franz chong
This show is one of the all time best comedies in tv history……
ch 7 or ch10 would also air this show as much as nine is doing at the moment….
It just makes good sence! this show equals rating…..
Hayley, the way it works is that all casting contract information is released on CBS’s upfronts day which is 19th May. i don’t think the fact that there is no decision yet has anything to do with anything. last year it was TR Knight and Katherine Heigl this year it is Charlie Sheen.
Jennifer Taylor plays Chelsea,not Christine
Thanks Ruddeger… teach me to rely on EOnline!
I hope this show dies soon. How does Nine Survive up against 7pm Project and Home and Away with these outdated reruns and in what would have been the 30th Year Since Sale of the Century Later Temptation since that quiz aired way back in 1980.Kerry Packer would be rolling in his grave thinking this what my network has come to the home of 2.5 men,20 to 1 and Underbelly.
This has been going on for awhile now… surely if he was leaving he wudda announced it by now… i think the fact that he hasnt means he’s willing to stay and just wants more money…
i think it’ll definatly be over after 2 more seasons though (that should be about 9 years too late)
i gotta say i kinda dont blame him… i mean his film career is non-existent nowadays and i dont see that changing, even when the show ends… so he probably wants to make big money while he can
and the show is all about him… as has been said, no show without him…
and despite how much i dislike the show myself, it is a ratings winner… if they want to continue to profit from that then they have to pay up
It;s a ploy to get more money CBS knows how much they stand to loose without the show so they need him, I think he’ll be back.
“If we don’t have Charlie, we don’t have a show”
So Charlie I think we know what you need to do 😀
