Sheen’s money woes should be music to Nine’s ears

If you think Charlie Sheen is really walking away from Two and a Half Men, think again....

If you think Charlie Sheen is really walking away from Two and a Half Men, think again….

He has reportedly given full custody of his two children Sam, 6, and Lola, 4 to wife Denise Richards.

“Denise doesn’t want to take Sam and Lola away from Charlie,” a source told EOnline. “She just wants them to be safe. He usually goes for dinner at Denise’s house to see them.”

Sheen continues to pay $50,000 a month in child support to Richards. That’s a lot of fluffy toys and daycare.

Meanwhile details of his pre-nuptial agreement with Brooke Mueller have been revealed. In a divorce she would also be entitled to $300,000 for every year of marriage. TMZ claims that according to the agreement, she’ll also get add-ons, like medical and schooling expenses, and that could drive the monthly support upwards of $125,000. No wonder he was hinting at exiting the show.

Sheen and Warner Bros. have not been negotiating for his return to Two and a Half Men contrary to several reports, but sources on both sides are saying they believe a deal will eventually be made.

Sheen is rumoured to be seeking $1.5m per episode. A deal is tipped to be made either on May 18 or May 19 as CBS announces its Fall schedule on May 19.

There are rumours he could get $1.3 mil an episode, up from his current $900,000 per episode.

And we’ll all be stuck with a lot more rereuns on Nine.

Amended.

  1. Two and a Half Men repeats ridiculously well, give him the 1.5m. In fact, I believe they will because

    a) Big Bang Theory probably needs one more season to be Two and a Half Men’s sucessor

    b) They haven’t got a third fourth show to replace Two and a Half Men on Monday nights (Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are the other two)

    c) Ray Romano was raking in 1.8mil like 5 years ago…

    d) sitcom stars are generally worth their pay packet, stars of shows like Frasier, Friends, Seinfeld, Raymond, Two and a Half Men, and to a lesser extent Mad About You all had lead stars get a 1m per episode salary, they all repeat ridiculously well

    e) CBS skews pretty old, after all their entire line-up is just a bunch of crime procedurals, Two and a Half Men is skewing young, and generally isn’t far off the top rated show in demos, after shows like Idol, BBT and perhaps Glee, not much else beats it.

    f) CBS has the money, I think they’d like to keep their best rerun show a while longer

  2. I really do enjoy watching 2 and a Half Men despite the endless repeats.

Nine wouldn’t be wise at this pint time to have a 7pm gameshow-maybe in years to come hey could.

  3. “He has reportedly given full custody of his two children Sam, 6, and Lola, 4 to wife Brooke Mueller.”

You got the wives mixed up there. He has reportedly given full custody of his daughters Sam and Lola to ex-wife and their mother Denise Richards. Sheen has twin boys with current wife Brooke Mueller.

  4. At this rate It could be the Middle of the Decade Till Channel 9 puts on a game show right after A Current Affair.

All the More Reason to Boycott the programming and watch 7pm Project or Home and Away till they decide to put on some fresh new programming up against those two.

  5. I like 2AHM but wow thats a lot of moneyGood luck to him.
I only watch the new eps now kinda over the reruns on Nine.
New ones suppose to be mondays night but wasn’t this week. more annoying work from nine.
