Airdate: 2010 Wimbledon Championships

FOX Sports will broadcast days 1-9 of Wimbledon Live each night from Monday.

The 2010 Wimbledon Championships can be seen on FOX Sports from Monday, June 21st with coverage throughout the 13 days of competition.

FOX Sports will broadcast days 1-9 of Wimbledon Live each night on FOX Sports 3HD and FOX Sports 3, but switches to delayed coverage for the Ladies and Men’s semi-finals and finals as Nine retains live rights.

Adam Peacock will host FOX Sports coverage from London, with commentary from Wally Masur, Nicole Pratt, Roger Rasheed and Josh Eagle.

FOX Sports will screen highlights of each day’s play throughout the Championships, while FOX Sports News and foxsports.com.au will keep viewers up-to-date with all the latest news, scores and pictures.

After injury denied him the chance to defend the crown he won in the thrilling 2008 Men’s Singles Final, all eyes will be on world number one Rafael Nadal, who makes his return to Wimbledon after claiming his seventh Grand Slam singles title at the French Open earlier this month. Meanwhile, six-time champion Roger Federer will be chasing history with another win, while Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt will be confident after winning the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany, with a victory over Federer this week.

In the Ladies draw, former Grand Slam winners Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters are making their return to Wimbledon, and will face tough competition from the Williams sisters. Venus and Serena Williams have dominated the Ladies’ competition since 2000, with Venus claiming five singles Championships and defending champion Serena, three. Samantha Stosur will lead the Australian charge, fresh from an historic finals appearance at the French Open.

  1. Stolle and Newk are the worst combination – they’re obsessed with Lleyton Hewitt, talking about him when he’s not even playing the match they’re supposed to be commentating.

  2. Important to note for viewers outside of the east coast that Fox Sports’ coverage is likely to be the only live broadcasts we will see.

Expect Nine’s usual 2 hour delay plus missing the start of matches due to the usual suspects running “late” (aka exactly as planned just not advised).

  3. nine unfortunatly have fred stolle and mark woodforde commentating- these 2 must be the most despised tennis commentators on the planet- give us anyone else please>>……imaginge if nine took comentary from mcEnroe etc ….stolle is approx 89 years old and makes mistake after mistake and as for woodforde ……….my head in a lawn mower would be a better alternative than having to listen to him…..is anyone from nine reading this!!!

  4. Haha, expect Fox’s coverage to be way better than Nine, but too bad I’m not rich enough to afford Pay-TV at my place.
Fingers crossed Nine won’t screw up the greatest tennis tournament in the world.
