ABC Southbank evacuated

ABC’s Southbank Centre in Melbourne was evacuated last night after a package was found in a bin, the Herald Sun notes.

Residents in a nearby apartment block were also evacuated by police.

The bomb squad was notified of the threat.

The Southbank Centre is home to Radio 774 and television facilities for News Breakfast.
