  1. Can anyone let me know if Channel 10 is still running SwingTown? Not on this Thurs (28/8) and doesn’t seem to be coming up on any other night or timeslot. Have just gotten hooked on it…

  2. I’ve wanted to see this. 1976 was one of my favorite years, i was only 10 years old, but they were happy days. I hope I remember when it’s on though, I’m not that good at keeping track of late night shows these days.

  3. Such a shame to see this show axed, aired so many years after it first screened, and then buried. This was honestly one of the best shows I’ve ever watched, and it’s terrible that networks in the US and here haven’t treated it as such. I hope a few TV faithfuls make the effort to record it. It’s well worth it!

  4. I bought this dvd season from JB a few months ago and we have just started watching it. At the moment we are half way through it. I love it. and love the music.
    Not for everyone though.

  5. TEN were meant to run run this about 2-3 years ago over summer. Guess the programming vault is looking a bit sparse!

That said, I bought this on DVD a while back and it is a beautiful ode to the 70’s. The production values are just exquisite, and there are some great performances from the 6 leads – Miriam Shor is especially fabulous.

Throw your keys in the bowl and get into it!

  6. Sounds like something different… so no wonder it failed.

Pity TEN is sticking it on so late but at least I can record it. Can’t wait for them to get launch their general entertainment channel up and running!

  7. At a time like that, why bother?! This sort of stuff gets me upset at Channel Ten!! Stupid! It would be worse if it’s a good series… (I’m not a fan of the fact Outrageous Fortune and Go Girls were put on late on Fridays)
