WORLD EXCLUSIVE: TV Tonight today reveals three unseen promos for The Event, NBC’s high-concept drama coming to the US this September.

These three promos will not be aired by NBC until Sunday (US time).

TV Tonight can also confirm the show will be fastracked to Australia by the Seven Network.

Bring it on…

  1. David can I suggest making the QT movies links, click on them to open in a new window/tab so all 3 don’t play at once each time you load this page.

Now I hope ch7 does good work promoting this and doesn’t demote it to 7TWO, even if they fast track it. They will be busy come September since they have promised to fast track Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice this season and not wait until 2011 again.

  2. I can confirm 100% that these new promos are Exclusive to TVTonight – and the only place (on air or online) they have ever appeared. If you think you’ve seen them, you are confusing them with other promos (most promos use similar content – all the big action stuff)

More Exclusives to come for TVTonight….

  3. Cool David, and thanks…

I am watching too many promos, so guess I am confusing myself.

Anyway, I love what you do and provide us with… You are awesome.

    Thanks David.

  4. David.. I Love your work, hence do not want to be seen as an ###ehole here, but I viewed these, plus another 5 minute promo, which contained more than the ones provided above, some days ago…

You sure these are Exclusive ?

    Sorry mate… just wondering OK

    Cheers,

    Kathy

  5. Sorry if some reaers have had some viewing issues, yes you need Quicktime installed. Hopefully now working again.

No there was no Cease and Desist. These were legitimately supplied as an Exclusive to this site (Dodgy means? Sheesh.) And no they are not the same promos as Slashfilm.

  6. Whilst the pilot looks captivating, it’s hard to get too excited about the long term prospects of this show given the epic fail that was FlashForward, and the general decline in serialised drama. Hopefully The Event can buck the trend and live up to the hype.

  7. I’m getting a little worried. While the trailers for The Event look great, screenrant.com just reviewed the premiere episode and had this to say about the show:

“…the one major annoying part of the show are the jumps in time. We start off in actual time then jump back 23 minutes, then jump back 12 days, then back to actual time for just one character. Then a second character is introduced and the same thing happens to their timeline and so on and so forth for an additional 4 or 5 characters. Then it starts over with the 1st character but this time goes back to 8 days then to 7 days…yeah, that all got very confusing…”

Perhaps this show should be called FlashBackward?

  8. Couldn’t get them to play either. Tried a number of browsers, tried RealPlayer, tried using just the source code – nothing there.

David, are these the same as the three clips here?: slashfilm.com/2010/06/03/three-new-promos-for-the-event

Looks like they’ve been redacted. The mystery deepens….

  9. Nice one David. How did you score World Exclusives?

This series looks soooo goooooood. I cant wait for it. I think this could finally be NBC’s comeback show. It has so much promise. Lets hope it doesnt do what Flash Forward did and thats screw up the middle of the season. The 2nd half was actually getting really good but people had already made up their minds.

  10. This show looks so good, but let’s hope it’s not another FlashForward. It’s my most anticipated new show out of this season along with Nikita, Outsourced and Undercovers. Looks like NBC have the best new shows this season.

  11. well done on the World Exclusive David! how did you manage to score that?!?
this show looks good, now that lost is over i need something new to invest in, hopefully it’s better than Flashforward…

when i first came onto the page all three videos played at once, it was almost a better way of watching it-added to the drama and confusion…just saying…

  12. Looks great! Can’t wait!

But I had trouble watching them … Firefox just showed Realplayer boxes, and wouldn’t play anything, as did Safari and Chrome. IE wanted to play them via the Quicktime plugin but got caught in a loop wanting to install Flash again and again.

I watched them by getting the source code from your page of the three files and watching then through iTunes.

    Anyone else have problems?
