Eh?

Yes Hey Hey it’s Saturday has secured Tony Abbott to judge an ‘extended’ Red Faces tomorrow night. Or is that red speedos?

Also on the panel will be Entourage‘s Rex Lee.

Elsewhere on the show The Potbelleez will perform.

It airs tomorrow night at 7:30 on Nine.

Guess if Julia can do Fifth Grader…..

  1. Hmm David, are you sure he is going to be a judge? I would have thought he would have been an act, a comedy act to say the least or maybe he could have brought his other Liberal friends along and made it a complete Circus act complete with matching budgie smugglers 🙂

    But seriously, it is deeply embarrassing. Using Hey Hey as a platform??? Farewell any vestige of dignity clinging to the ‘office’ of prime ministerial contender.

    Then again I don’t suppose i could really hope for gravitas from someone who thought being filmed and interviewed in budgie smugglers was OK.

  7. I just had a really nice daydream in which Abbott dropped the F-bomb in a critique of an act and caused both Hey Hey to be axed and he to be dropped from the Liberal party.
    Such a nice daydream…

  16. This show is an out and out joke,. I saw the ad a few days back and they were advertising one of their guests as “Lloyd from Entourage”. Puh-lease

  17. Makes me feel all icky inside just thinking about it. And I still can’t get past the fact he’s the spitting image of Jello Biafra. Ahh, now that man could put a pithy comment together.

  19. Maybe Abbott should just face-off against Gillard on Masterchef and whoever makes the best dish can be Prime Minister!

    Of course, the “twist” will be that the Masterchef producers will bring back eliminated contestant Kevin Rudd who will also have a shot at winning the prize!

    Unfortunately, Bob Brown will be too busy appearing on Dancing with the Stars (in which he will be paired with a male dance partner in a world first for the “talent” show) to attend the cook-off and instead will have to make do with the winner’s re-heated left-overs.

  20. What a far-out waste. They just turn on the ‘charm offense’ don’t they. Not a fan of them all, I see them corrupt for appearances. A packet of numbnuts in a suits.

  23. Sigh. I hate it when politicians try to be more likeable and appeal to a certain demographic to grab votes. Hated it when Rudd did it on GNW, Rove was fine since it was an interview.
