Here’s a first glimpse of the cast of Law & Order: Los Angeles, as reported by the NY Post.

This photo is of Alfred Molina as Deputy DA Peter Morales, who’s described as “a sarcastic realist,” and his colleague, Assistant DA Evelyn Price, played by Regina Hall.

Law & Order: Los Angeles stars Skeet Ulrich as Det. Rex Winters, a tough-talking ex-Marine who partners with Tomas “TJ” Jarusalski (Corey Stoll) to track down the bad guys as members of the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division.

It co-stars Wanda De Jesus as Lt. Arleen Gonzales and Terrence Howard as Deputy DA Jonas “Joe” Dekker.

The series premieres in the US on September 29.

  2. Perhaps it is time for Mr Wolf to come up with some really new ideas – this is the 6th L&O by my reckoning (and that is only counting the scripted stuff).

    The program has always been too formulaic – it basically requires the police to continually hand flawed cases to the DA who then has to spend large amounts of effort sorting them out. This just isn’t realistic.

    In addition the concept of the same detectives continually working with the same ADA might work in a small town but not in NY, LA or London.

    SVU has long been the best of the franchise – it deserves congratulations for managing 12 years of shows about sex crimes within the strictures of US broadcast TV – that is a feat!

  3. I think they should avoid any more spin offs from the franchise, and fix the current one(s) that are not working entirely. SVU could be amazing tv each week, but i reckon it is inconsistent and the writing is the problem. The actors, directors are all first class, but the plots – p-ew! I know 12 seasons is a long long time – but the wonderful Ms Hargitay and Mr Meloni deserve much better.

  5. Will it last? Remember L&O: Trial by Jury, I think it lasted one season. With the main show gone, and the others on USA network these days, I have a feeling this will be short lived.

  6. I believe they’ve changed the character’s name from Peter Morales to Ricardo Morales (go figure…)

    And Megan Boone has joined the cast as ADA Lauren Stanton, who will be Terrence Howard’s partner.
