“Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me…”

How can we not mention this fetching moment from A Current Affair last night when a young Tom Steinfort was filmed through the legs of one Jerry Hall (who was in fishnet stockings, no less).
The scene mirrored that of a young Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in a scene from The Graduate. In the famous 1967 movie, Hoffman’s character said to Bancroft’s, “Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me.” And it was exactly the same line Steinfort repeated last night to Hall during his ACA interview.
Hall is in Australia to perform the Bancroft role for a stage production of The Graduate in Perth with actor Rider Strong, so the moment was entirely keeping in the spirit of the story.
Steinfort, who is around half the age of Hall, was so convincing he could probably pass for an understudy for Strong if he wanted to.

ACA is looking more and more like a satire or parody these days that we saw with Frontline or Real Stories.
David and I share the same love for Tom 🙂
Leave David alone, everyone knows ACA is hilarious and can’t be taken seriously.
any vid cap David? It must be delightful.
As bad as TT/ACA are they do on the odd occassion have something interesting and this would qualify.
I can’t believe you watch this dribble and then bother to even report it here. These shows are rubbish. How is this ‘current affairs’?
Come on David – if Media Monitors analysed this blog I’m pretty sure they would find a disproportionate number of Tom Steinfort stories filed here. Maybe try being a bit less obvious?… 🙂
I think there have been about three. One was an interview from LA on his Michael Jackson stories, another when he switched from Nine to ACA. Granted this one isn’t strictly News, but a shot like that I would have written up no matter who was in it because it was so hilarious. Again, not everything on the site is intended as serious News (which seem people seem to forget). TV is so serious I like to lighten it up as part of a blog.
