Australian writer / producer Shane Brennan, has been named as one of Hollywood’s top Showrunners for his work on NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Reporter included him in its list of the Top 50 showrunners.
Brennan says of his career, “I took over running The Man From Snowy River when the showrunner had a heart attack; Lee David Zlotoff (creator of MacGyver) came out and helped me break 26 episodes in two weeks. He taught me all these tricks and said I had the skills to run an American show.”
Others include Neal Baer & Rene Balcer from Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: SVU, True Blood‘s Allan Ball, Glenn Gordon Caron from Medium and Marc Cherry from Desperate Housewives.

David E. Kelley is not on that list? Absolutely ridiculous.
@ Michael,
S7 was a bit under IMO – but he must be congratulated on getting NCIS to #1 in US.
Let’s hope he cashes in his ego cheque and gets NCIS beck to the standard it was at under Bellisario.
