Survivor: Nicaragua update

Good news for Survivor fans as the season premiere is extended and we fall into line.

Good win here for Survivor fans….

Nine’s premiere of Survivor: Nicaragua next Tuesday night is now a double episode.

With the second episode airing this week in the US, Aussie viewers will have caught up to the US.

Plans for a replay of 20 to 1 are now, mercifully, shelved to make room for the new season (cue applause).

It begins at 9pm following Top Gear Australia.

“Do you really want our schedule looking a lot like the US schedule? I certainly don’t.”

…If it bumps cheap insulting programming like 20 to 1 then yes! I wouldn’t mind it at all.

  2. To all those people who say that FTA channels should fasttrack all their shows just hours after the US, the scenario is just not possible.

  3. Great! Channel 9 please do not edit out the bit at the end of the first episode where they show how people voted. This has happened in the past when showing back to back episodes.

  4. Still not fasttracked enough for me, they should try showing Survivor on thursdays, only a few hours after it screens in america. Anyway this is a lot better to previous years. Well done Nine

  5. Most excellent news. Well done Channel 9!

I’ll still be tempted to watch episode two this weekend since the first episode was so very good. And I agree that all FTA channels need to utilise the same definition of “fast-tracking” that Channel 10 uses for “Glee”.
