It’s official, Medium cancelled

"It's true. Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Fri 1/21," says series creator Glenn Gordon Caron.

As recently reported following a comment by Patricia Arquette, CBS has now officially cancelled Medium.

Series creator Glenn Gordon Caron announced the news online: “It’s true. Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Fri 1/21. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”

Whilst recently pulling an ok audience of 6.8 million the series carries a high production cost.

Earlier this month Patricia Arquette told a journalist the series was ending after being downgraded to 13 episodes.

CBS rescued Medium from cancellation after NBC axed the show last year.

  1. I was on Allison Dubois’ fb. She was cracking champagne and rejoicing when Ghost Whisperer was axed. I said that I liked Ghost Whisperer. Allison sent me this in an email :’What I like so much about facebook is being able to delete people. Byyeee Lisa’. Not a nice lady. Karma for her. Shame as the real woman ruined the show for me.

  2. I have seen the ad for the new episode, and keep looking for it to come on in the TV Guide….. I thought I better google up when its coming on, and now I see its been cancelled. Not happy Jan….. Love the show… I will certainly miss it.

  3. It’s a bit funny for me, because I’ve only just recently gotten into this show after seeing some season 6 & 7 eps on channel 10 and really enjoyed it. I guess I have 6 or so seasons I can catch up on DVD!

  4. How about a late night summer playout 10? Before those episodes we saw are forgotten. Please also chuck in the skipped episode I don’t care if it doesn’t make sense out of order, when did that ever stop commercial networks.

  5. It was actually very good until the end of season three, when Alison got outed. After that you could tell the writers were struggling to keep the momentum going. Joe seemed to get the more interesting story material while Alison became incredibly dense and sanctimonious. Also, the irritating teenage daughter got far too much screen time…

I’m sure they’ll give it a decent enough ending. Seven seasons kinda warrants it.

  6. You’d think that channel 10 could show the remaining 11 episodes.
I hardly watch FTA at all these days, because of the way they treat their viewers.
May I remind advertisers that their products are seen by no-one at all if they are viewing programs via a box set or other common methods of sourcing a program.

  7. Yeah I wonder is Allison Dubois saw it coming LOL

I tried to get into this show but never did, good thing it’s on PayTV and DVD. Maybe the final season will show up on ch11 in the new year?
