The Black Eyed Peas for Super Bowl

The Black Eyed Peas will be the featured halftime at Cowboys Stadium.

The Black Eyed Peas will be the featured halftime performer at next year’s Super Bowl.

The Grammy award-winning group will perform on Feb. 6 (US) at Cowboys Stadium.

This year’s featured performer was The Who. Other halftime acts have included U2, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Paul McCartney and Prince.

Plus a little wardrobe malfunction from Janet.

The 2010 Super Bowl aired on ONE / TEN earlier this year.

  1. P.S. to One. Can you not cut-away from the coverage when the game ends early? Was looking forward to the post-game interview of Rivers today when you abruptly cut-away to start your next show 10 minutes early (which was a recorded show anyway, not live). Why? Why are you starting scheduled shows 10 minutes early when you still have live sport on? Youv’e done well by us to date, but this is not good. 🙁

  2. All acts mentioned have only been on once. They used to try and be hip, but then there was the Janet incident (I won’t call it by it’s usual t*tygate name 😉 ), and they made the change to more established, and less likely to be controversial, acts, as per all those mentioned. Loved The Who’s light show last year – was surprised it didn’t get more of a run in the evening news. Having Black Eyed Peas is starting to stray back to the original demographic! Go Bolts!

  3. Very good David Love your humor on this one. The Superbowl will never live that Janet Jackson malfunction down ever. It will be forever in the archives of tv. How many times have Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band been on the superbowl halftime show? Still looking forward to this.
