Hinch on road to recovery

"The remaining tumour," writes Derryn Hinch, "is no more."

Broadcaster Derryn Hinch has been given positive news in his fight to live.

A major tumour in his liver has disappeared after chemotherapy although he still needs a transplant.

On his website Hinch wrote, “Today the news: The remaining tumour, the Mothership, the one that had been shrunk from 3cm to 2cm last time, is now … No centimetres. Zilch. Kaput. Exterminated. Gone. Take that. One up against your duck house.”

In November Hinch told his radio audience doctors have given him just 12 months to live unless he receives a liver transplant.

Hinch, whose current affairs show has appeared on both Seven and TEN networks, said he expected 2011 to be “a rugged one full of hospital waiting rooms and times of uncertainty”.

  1. This guy is a racist, and a chode

not saying he deserves having a tumour, but it wouldn’t hurt for him to use this experience as a learning curve. Treat people kinder, etc
