Former talent show performers will be appearing at this year’s Australia Celebrates concert, celebrating Australia Day on the steps of Parliament House Canberra.
The line-up includes Jessica Mauboy, Stan Walker, Justice Crew, Altiyan Childs plus Ross Wilson, Little Red, The Chooky Dancers, The McClymonts, and Gangajang.
Actor Jack Thompson will takes the reigns as ‘storyteller’ joined by two yet to be announced ABC presenters.
Australia Celebrates will be a concert event for all the family, when stars and celebrities come together in front of a live audience of over 35,000 ordinary Australians, to celebrate what’s great about being an Aussie and explore what being Australian is all about.
Australia Day is all about reflecting on what it means to be Australian and fittingly Australia Celebrates will be a celebration of being Australian. But Australia Celebrates will also encourage audiences to think about issues of acceptance, tolerance and unity as we open our minds to the simple concept that, despite our many differences, we all have one thing in common: a connection with this country.
It airs live at 8:30pm AEDT Tuesday January 25 on ABC1 (and yes that’s Australia Day eve in case you were wondering).

How do we get tickets or is a free concert ? And where is it ?

With that line up there is not much to celebrate.
Ten and Nine have previously broadcast the annual concert to poor ratings. Good luck to the ABC.
