‘Jack Donaghy’ for President?
Maybe not. But 30 Rock‘s Alec Baldwin reckons he is “very, very interested” in running for political office.
After all if it’s good enough for Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronald Reagan and even Sonny Bono, it should be good enough for Alec.
“I do believe that people want to believe that someone who deeply cares about the middle class … would like to seek public office,” he said in an interview on CNN this week.
“People would say to me all the time, why would you want to [run for office]?” he said. “And sometimes I don’t want to do it, because to leave what I’m doing now would be extremely painful.”
Baldwin also told CBS news magazine 60 Minutes in 2009 that running for political office is “something I might do one day.”
Maybe he could get Tina Fey as Sarah Palin to be his running mate?

It matters little in the US whether you’re Republican or Democrat, you’re still far right to the rest of the world. The exceptions being places like Iran, Sudan, Zimbabwe. They’re even further right.
I can just imagine his campaign slogan:
“Anyone who doesn’t vote for me is a rude, thoughtless little pig.”
Yes what U S of A needs is another Democrat who has no idea of which coarse to set
He’d better win his election—second prize is a set of steak knives.
Don’t forget the ex-Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea who “made their day” by allowing icecream to be eaten in public again!
I know he said in an interview a while back that he’d have too many skeletons in his closet to run for Office.
Who knows though. I’d vote for him though if I was in the USA. He seems more intelligent with a better grip on reality than most politicians there.
