Report: Sheen won’t halt 2.5 Men to rehabilitate

Charlie Sheen is fighting network execs who want to halt production on Two and a Half Men to give him time to address personal issues.

There are reports from the US that Warner Bros TV and CBS are (finally) looking to halt production on Two and a Half Men to allow Charlie Sheen time to address ongoing personal issues.

But Sheen is said to be resisting the idea, including hiring lawyers and threatening to sue Warner Bros TV and CBS if they shut down production without cause.

It follows the latest headlines which claim he spent the weekend in Las Vegas partying with adult film stars. Executives are also reportedly concerned over a dramatic weight loss.

Deadline says with Sheen refusing to see a doctor, the studio and the network would have to stop production with no legal reason. Additionally, if he refuses to enter rehab, staying at home instead of working would probably do more harm than good – Sheen seems to mostly get in trouble when he is off work.

Sheen is also said to have avoided meetings with execs to discuss the situation.

Some staff were wondering if he would show up for work this week.

But he was back at work in L.A. as scheduled on Tuesday. His representatives told E!: “Charlie Sheen arrived at work today and is there as I send this. Memo to Chicken Little: The sky remains in place.”

  1. @Brad, I was thinking the same thing, that he is possibly a sufferer of Bipolar Disorder. His behaviour is very erratic and manic, and his periodic emotional flameouts.

  2. Re: Craig

I did and it was some funny stuff from Craig, Letterman over the years too has joked about Sheen, pretty much past 1130pm you can say whatever about anyone 😉

  3. The good news is that, if production continues, Nine will have some new shows to broadcast for a change. The bad news is that Nine will have some new shows to broadcast repeatedly, over and over, on all their channels.

  4. I’m sure they’d be clauses in the CBS contract they can use to stop this drunken idiot!

Anyone see Craig Ferguson bit on it last night, and FYI The Late Late Show is also on CBS.
