  1. Nine drama disappoints yet again. What happens when SP and RSO tank? WIll they actually Do anything about a slate that is now 5 years out of date? There’s just so much Lisa McCune in a boiler suit a person can take.

  2. @Greg. What i mean is, the very first Underbelly was massively hyped. Nine hyped it up, the critics jumped on board and fell for the hype and started saying it was the best thing ever. So of course the viewers fell for the hype. It was uncool to not like Underbelly so everyone had to love it. I don’t understand how it got such rave reviews because the scripts were woeful. And although it had great actors, due to the scripts, they looked like amateurs. Overated in my opinion. It was basically an R rated Home & Away.

  3. I’ve enjoyed all 3 Underbelly movies and hope 9 keeps them coming.
@JB – You said “Even the first one which critics seemed to love had terrible scripts” – what planet are you from? It was widely acclaimed and awarded. By the way, speaking of bad scipts, what does this mean “People fell the hype which made them think it was good.” ?

  4. i watched first underbelly and meh, nothing flash. the series is ok and need more than 2 hours to delve into austrlalian crime history. think the franchise is dead but knowing 9 they’ll still keep flogging it til they stoop to Underbelly: The KMart Shop Lifting Files

  5. I think people have finally realised Underbelly was nothing but hype and was a terrible show. Even the first one which critics seemed to love had terrible scripts which made the acting terrible with poor camera work and some nudity thrown in to make it “gritty”. People fell the hype which made them think it was good. Not anymore

  6. Last night Bones ep was a good one. I missed some of the ads for it, but I don’t remember seeing anything about Ryan O’Neal being in it nor the gravedigger storyline. Which went back to a few seasons ago.

I think GNW looks like its in trouble as well.

  7. Geoff, House will be thrashed by Bones. TIYL may get around 900K given its a premiere but I’d be betting on Bones winning with around 1.1M with House struggling to beat 4 Corners for third place.

  8. @ Bogues, I think House will be lucky to be up against “This is your Life” next week and with over a week’s advertising on TEN (it started last night during Glee to my knowledge) I reckon House will be able to bring 8:30pm Monday back to atleast 900,000.

  9. In a lot of the launch material 9 sent out underbelly is placed as a centerpiece of 9s 2011 lineup, like what PTTR is for 7 or what MC is for ten. 9 would be very disappointed.

I think the heartbreaker for them is that their big drama events are being beaten by home and away.

  10. Why people would support Bones then Australian drama Is beyond me , granted the 2nd second Underbelly telemovie was a tad weak , but last nights final movie was great .

  11. forget 9, TEN is in serious trouble. Seven is doing so well but are we surprised considering all their local content? Nine has 1.5 hours of American sitcoms from 7pm and one of those is a 7th run repeat of 2.5 Men. Pull your socks up Nine.
Network Ten – you have always been third but I feel like all you do is wait for Masterchef and then let the rest of the year fall away from you. I have no doubt that Masterchef will be stretched out to make the high last longer.
