Networks getting very cheeky now…
This YouTube clip reckons, “Unfortunately, even a big watermark like this isn’t enough to stop Channel Seven from stealing our footage.”
Over to you, Seven….

Ahaha they even had the CH9 voice over guy do it. Love it!
But wait David, I thought a network had to pay to use another networks footage. Or is it a free for all for the free to airs?
Typical channel 9! This is what I took away from that smug ad “we know are viewers don’t like the watermark but we don’t care because we had it first and want the whole country to know. So nananana!”
Yet again Nine doesn’t care for their audience and are now rubbing it in our faces!
Seven is still a far superior news service to Nine in every way. ABC however tops them all.
Personally…don’t watch….don’t care!
Lol; burn 7 😛 just another chapter in their ongoing rivalry that no one really cares about except them 😛
i think 7 should also apologies for letting home and away become the biggest farce on tv and for putting such rubbish comedy shown as football shows
What is even more disturbing is the fact that the story involving Sandilands was the number one news story for the night on both the news and TT (in Sydney).
Sadly they both use ‘Exclusive’ when they just download uploaded footage from youtube.
D
Can we also get a full & detailed apology from Ch 9 for their really poor attempts of show timeslot programming for 2 years & admit that their channel has the poorest excuses of what they deem as ‘hilarious comedies’ & their overuse as timeslot gap-filler, & not the home of laughter!.
Are they sure it was Seven blurring their watermark & not their frienemies at WIN? 😉
I thought a few years ago 7 were fined because they removed Ten’s watermark when showing the clip of Hawkins losing her dress and being left in a g-string?
I’m not the biggest ch9 fan but I love the clip, can’t wait for TT response!
@Mr. chandler I’m not holding my breath, they’ve got a lot to apologise for.
i wonder if 7 will spologise themselves.for the 5th time in 2 years they have used 9s own work
Yes the watermark is horrible but it’s hilarious nonetheless that it didn’t stop the master copiers ch7!
Is this for real?
If so, are they nuts? FTA TV is completely unwatchable as it is!
The Channel Nine brains trust must have a deathwish.
No other network stoops this low.
@ RichoTB…. so what if there is a watermark…. they have every right to do that.. and i guess if u filmed something that no-one else had, U would put your own watermark too…. and charge alot of money to the network who wanted it badly…. so your comments about the watermark being bloated, annoying, and egotistical..well mate…its there for a reason..and Nine is not the only media outlet in the world that does that… look at TMZ!
I’ve never seen it, but then I only watch the news on ABC and SBS
ALL station ID watermarks are hideous, intrusive and bloody annoying.
But they use ’em to prevent piracy. (Yuk! Yuk!)
How about the station IDs fade in for 10 seconds and then fade out – and stay out – for 4’50”???
The TMZ watermake is a lot worse than nine’s watermark.
Wasn’t it Nine who stole Seven’s footage first? Which was the reason for all these ugly watermarks in the first place. Seven started it and Nine copied it. First on Nine is a joke. Either way i think the things they are doing is ridiculous. All we want to do is watch the damn news!
That massive hideous watermark is just bloated, annoying, and egotistical. Who really cares who airs the footage? I remember seeing a story on one of the Qantas airplanes having to make an emergency landing somewhere and that ugly logo was right in the middle of the screen. Absolutely ridiculous.
More people these days get their news from the internet anyway
Nine are no better than Seven:

oh please, the watermark is an eyesore. 7 are allowed to share your footage vice versa, sharing. The watermark is hideous and annoying and distracting. It looks cheap, just like nines news. So I spose they go together well. By all means use it but how about putting it up the top or on the bottom so that we can actually see the footage.
