Chrissie pregnant, another Circle baby surprise.

It's a case of Circle deja-vu as Chrissie Swan shocks her co-presenters by telling them on air she is pregnant.

It worked so well for Gorgi Coghlan, Chrissie Swan decided to borrow the idea.

Today Swan surprised her Circle co-presenters on air with the news that she is expecting a baby.

There were shocks all round with the good news.

Swan was showing some family photos to Denise Drysdale, Yumi Stynes and guest host Colin Lane when she finished with an ultrasound image.

“But this is my favourite photo. This is my second baby, who’s 13 week old and we get to meet in August.”

“What?” replied Lane.

Suddenly Drysdale was shrieking and hugging Swan as the realisation of the bombshell she had just dropped dawned over them all.

“I’ve been trying to get you off my case for weeks!” laughed Swan.

It is the second time a Circle host has revealed the news on air, following Gorgi Coghlan surprising her team last year.

In a further surprise Coghlan then dropped into the set with flowers for Swan.

Lane is currently filling in for Coghlan while she is on maternity leave. If she returns by mid year, it looks like Lane could be remaining on the couch in place for Swan.

The baby is the second for Swan and her husband.

Must be something in that Channel TEN water!

  1. Love Chrissie, but how did this get on the front page of a magazine already on the newsstands today if it was such a secret until Friday??? Bit dubious if you ask me…

  2. I saw the announcement after having to record it. I loved how she did it just talking casually about her family. I loved Colin’s reaction. What!

    But I loved how the tables were turned and Chrissie and Gorgi came in. Its a shame we didnt get to see Molly Rose but Gorgi looked great.

Love Chrissie and im happy she is going to be a mum again,always tape the show the girls give me such a lot of laughs.Chrissie and Denise are so funny,it real shame Denise doesnt do the show daily,on the days she is off it does miss her magic.Hope Chrisse gets a tv week logie this year….best female talent!!!!

  5. Chrissie is a class act and has always been very entertaining. If she hadn’t been up against the most popular BB contestant of all time, she would have romped it in back in 2003. Congratulations and best wishes to them all!

  6. That’s great news for Chrissie but now I feel sorry for Grant (February 4, 2011 at 4:35pm) who has “been stuck at home 10 months so far after a work accident.” That’s terrible. I hope you get better soon mate! 🙁

  7. Chrissie …………. you bitch !!!! you did that so cleverly, nobody really wanted to see the photos of your parents aunties uncles etc, the one of the cat caught my eye most Until ……………. you saved the best till last !!!! well done, and congratulations.
