Chrissie pregnant, another Circle baby surprise.

It's a case of Circle deja-vu as Chrissie Swan shocks her co-presenters by telling them on air she is pregnant.

It worked so well for Gorgi Coghlan, Chrissie Swan decided to borrow the idea.

Today Swan surprised her Circle co-presenters on air with the news that she is expecting a baby.

There were shocks all round with the good news.

Swan was showing some family photos to Denise Drysdale, Yumi Stynes and guest host Colin Lane when she finished with an ultrasound image.

“But this is my favourite photo. This is my second baby, who’s 13 week old and we get to meet in August.”

“What?” replied Lane.

Suddenly Drysdale was shrieking and hugging Swan as the realisation of the bombshell she had just dropped dawned over them all.

“I’ve been trying to get you off my case for weeks!” laughed Swan.

It is the second time a Circle host has revealed the news on air, following Gorgi Coghlan surprising her team last year.

In a further surprise Coghlan then dropped into the set with flowers for Swan.

Lane is currently filling in for Coghlan while she is on maternity leave. If she returns by mid year, it looks like Lane could be remaining on the couch in place for Swan.

The baby is the second for Swan and her husband.

Must be something in that Channel TEN water!

  1. Congrats Chrissie !!! Love the show and you girls. It was fantastic to see Gorgi in and wow didnt she look great. Been stuck at home 10 months so far after a work accident. Daytime TV would have driven me insane if it wasnt for The Circle.
    Thanxxxx Grant

  2. Wow thats really good news. Its good to see the hard work pay off that she did with Jenny craig so she could have another child. This would have been a big shock to the others because when Gorgi was pregnant they sort of had a clue she was. Obviously this one was out of the blue for them. Good to see Gorgi drop in as well.

Also Colin is doing a really good job of filling in. Hopefully he stays on in place of Chrissie.

  3. That’s great news – one of her reasons for joining Jenny Craig and doing their campaign was to improve her chances of conceiving. Great job, Chrissie. I must check the show out, based on the rave reviews here. I do love Denise (having grown up watching her), and Chrissie one of the Big Brother alumni that has a mind and a heart and isn’t afraid to use them!

  4. congratulations chrissie!! have a 5 mnth old baby and the circle would start right on time for a botlle and a nap, but he loves chrissie so much, his little face would light up and he’d laugh instead of drinking and sleeping! i wish i had a photo to send..so cute.

  5. Wow! Awesome news Chrissie! Congrats to you and your family. Wish I could have watched it( as I always do at 10:00 everyday) but I have lost power due to cyclone Yasi ( I’m from Nth Qld)

  6. I missed it.. First time I didn’t watch the show and look what I miss 🙁 congratulations to Chrissy and family. Such awesome news. 🙂 Is there a video online so I can watch it? I saw some pics and Yumi looks shocked like there is no tomorrow lol I want to see it in action!

  7. Love this show! The only slight change I would make is with the stuff that the show tries to see (and I just ignore) why don’t you ever have Australians endorsing the products – I am sick of hearing American voices – don’t any Australians like these products??

And congrats to Chrrissie and the Chippie and Leo – hope everything goes well for you!

  8. Yay……congrats to Chrissie, Chippie and Leo…..and all the girls on The Circle….there’s definately something in sitting on that couch!!! Well done….

  9. I have watched The Circle from the beginning but this year I have noticed that there has been a marked increase in the quantity of informercials and cutting to breaks half way through stories. It is now at the stage where I don’t really bother to watch the show anymore. It’s disappointing because it was pretty entertaining up until this year.

  10. Have been watching ‘The Circle’ since it’s inception…..
I was a fan of David and Kims….and was not sure I would like this new arrangement…..
But the girls won me over….I have been watching ever since….
Although wouldn’t you know it….had ‘phone business this morning and missed the big announcement….going to check it out online when I leave TV Tonight.

  11. Agree with KFed, The Circle is the best morning show on TV, and that includes the breakfast shows – it is the exact opposite of the faked, glossy, false-casual of Sunrise. There is real comraderie, it’s down to earth and it really deserves a bigger audience than it gets.

  12. will i love you guys so very much i watch you guys all the time wile i am at home with my little girl who keeps me very bissy all day and then we go out to pick up her brother from school congrts again from ingrid joshua savannah
