CSI: Miami, Mentalist update.

Networks seem pretty keen to burn off some of their good stuff this year...

Nine reacts to Sunday night’s results by dumping one of its two CSI: Miami episodes.

Last night it pulled 531,000 viewers at 9:30pm, beaten by Castle’s 836,000.

Now Nine will run two first-run Mentalist episodes at 8:30pm and 9:30pm instead.

Brissy Mentalist viewers are an episode ahead of Sydney and Melbourne but all cities will be getting double eps.

A CSI: Miami replay remains scheduled at 10:30pm Sundays and Thursdays (the latter replacing Cold Case).

  1. I didn’t get to see that last 15 minutes of Sunday’s CSI: Miami cause the President had to come on to make his statement that night at 9:45. That wasted the last 15 minutes of the show and I didn’t get to see how CSI: Miami ended! I was really p**sed off! They should replay Sunday’s story again!

  2. I would like to point out that despite these episode being brand new, they are not playing in correct order. When advertised for the first ‘brand new mentalist episode’ we were actually watching episode no. 4. The following week it was no. 6 followed by the double episode which was no. 7. Double episodes should be aired as this looses a certain amount of people for both shows, especially the second. Please play all of them and no double episodes.

  3. This is the reason why i stopped watching ER,Cold Case,CSI,Gossip Girl,Weeds etc on 9.
Shows i enjoyed, but i could not be bothered with 9’s relentless shuffling, repeating, showing out of sequence antics.
    Pay TV rules.

  4. So why mess around with CSI Miami eps just becoz Ch9 got it wrong and moved from Monday to Sunday! Double Mentalist aren’t going to rate much better? if this week was any clue!!
    Wake up Ch9!

  5. Brisbane viewers maybe ahead by one ep but i doubt most of brissy even knew unless you were watching the cricket. Nine should stop trying to win and start showing some loyalty towards the viewers with a stable schedule and build audiences honestly who’s running this joint

  6. NRL states are still 4 eps behind with CSI Miami. They should air new ones while the others get repeats. Nine should get all shows on par with each state.

  7. Are you serious??? As @roaringdave says, there are now 2 repeat CSI Miami’s when there are new episodes to air???

When will the programmers get the message – Keep a show in a regular spot and people will watch!!! A new one one week and a repeat the next just annoys the hell out of people so they get the new episodes by ‘other’ means!

  8. Are we surprised people?

I think half the problem is (and has been for a while) is Nine and the others don’t leave shows in the one place long enough, people are sick of trying to find their show, then work out if it’s new or old. They give up and go watch something else and just wait for the DVDs.

  9. So there is two episodes of Miami a week and neither of them are new? Why not? Why don’t they just show the new eps at 10.30 and get whatever revenue they can for it?
