Grammy reporter in slurry tongue-twister

Did KCBS reporter Serene Branson have too much to drink at the Grammys?

Did KCBS reporter Serene Branson have too much to drink at the Grammys?

Had she had some sort of stroke?

Been injected with equine drugs?

It’s like she’s saying something yet she’s not.

I’m having heavey bertations too….

Update: Doctors say Branson suffered a migraine, which can sometimes mimic the symptoms of a stroke.

  1. I agree with BundyNelle… I found this video quite distressing rather than funny because it was clear that something is physically wrong somewhere with this woman but it goes viral as a joke and people think it’s hilarious or say is she drunk or it’s because she’s blonde. I’m sure she did get the all clear on the day but there has to be something to explain what happened to her then. I hope she is OK.

  2. I was listening to the radio this morn (4BC Brisbane) and they were saying she could be suffering epilepsy. Commentator says it was disgusting how every one thinks she is drunk and its all funny. He also compared her situation to Wally Lewis who also suffered an ‘attack’ live on air during a Brisbane news reading. None of us laughed when Wally ‘froze’. Commentator now interviewing a doctor and says its not epilepsy but the presenter should immediately seek medical care as there is probably something ‘underlying’. Definitely not a laughing matter.

I truly feel for this woman.

  3. Got the official transcript, which shows exactly what she said, in plain English, so we can put this one to rest. It’s not her, it’s us.

“Well a very very heavay – uh – heaveh burtation tonight. We had a very darist-darison, by, lets go hit teret taysan those to the bet who had the pet.”

  4. Speaking in tongues, obviously. This could be the big one kids, hope you’re right with the Lord. Nostradamus, please go to the blue courtesy phone immediately.

  5. When I first saw it I have to admit I pi**ed myself laughing, and even when people said she could have had a stroke I still couldn’t stop laughing after watching it every time.

What kind of person am I? lol

  6. Oh god; how can you not laugh at that. Seriously. I’ve watched it 8 times now and still crack up; she delivers it with such a straight face like she absolutely knows the words she just spoke.

  7. Not good form to make fun of this, and I question whether this was really newsworthy for this site.

Could be the early signs of a stroke. Paramedics said no but they’re not brain surgeons are they.

  8. Maybe she’s speaking in another language – a language only other bottle blondes and aliens can understand! (cue the ‘Twilight Zone’ theme music).

ps – I do hope she’s actually okay.
