We’ve heard this one before…. are Kath and Kim set for a comeback?
The Sunday Telegraph says the foxy ladies are set to return to screen -but isn’t clear on whether it is small screen or big screen.
My lips are sealed,” Magda Szubanski told them. “I can’t tell you. I can’t say anything.”
The last sitcom was in 2007 with Seven. Since then there has been unfulfilled speculation of another series and even a stage musical.
Late last year Szubanski told me she would love to see a Kath & Kim arena spectacular!
“Personally I think it would be a hoot to do arena spectaculars because I did Grease in front of 17,000 people at Rod Laver Arena and it was hilarious fun,” she said.
“But we always talk about things. Whether or not they happen is a completely different matter.”
This year Gina Riley will appear in a new version of The Games with John Clarke for the Nine Network.

We need more local sitcoms in this country…..You only have to look at garbage like 2.5 men or the Middle amongst others to see how bad things have gone.

I still have high hopes we’ll see another season of K&K.
A movie would be great, but I do think it would be nice to see the same K&K cast doing an original new concept, they’re quite talented. It seems like it’s had it’s time and has been gone for quite some time now.
Its about time it was bought back. Full series of 8 episodes! Great comedy thats had a long enough almost 4 year break! Come on 7, bring it back!
i think there has been a long enough hiatus for k&K to return fresh. i thought it was getting a bit repetitive and old hat. ploise kimmy, look at moi, look at moi, look at mooooiiiii. i got one word for you.

We need more sitcoms in this country – K&K have shown that Australian audiences will watch local sitcoms – The Librarians, Summer Heights High…
It appalled me that the Logies chose last year to alter the name of the category – so ‘comedy’ was swapped for light entertainment. Shame! We have such a rich tradition of comedy – why can’t it be continued – even two or three per year.
Another series please.Anything else is overkill.
