While in Christchurch a tired and overworked Kochie tweeted, "time to sleep like the dead”.

David Koch has made another Twitter fumble, his second in just as many weeks.
Working in Christchurch yesterday he tweeted, “Up since 3.20am yesterday… time to sleep like the dead”.
A Channel Seven spokeswoman, “Kochie is sincerely sorry and deleted the message as soon as he realised what he had said,” she said.
“He had been working for more than 36 hours straight and made a mistake. He is deeply sorry for any offence he may have caused.”
The tweet was removed.
Two weeks ago he was slammed by Twitter users for tweeting, “Historic day in Egypt as Facebook generation ousts Mubarak. He even acknowledged the voice of Youth in his decision. Peaceful overthrow.”
Time to give it a rest, Kochie.

wasn’t worth the fuss it caused on twitter. Not worth commenting upon really but so many have done so now…
He’s an A- Class Idiot!!!
@Lee.Could of been worse, they could of shipped over their weather man….they did what!!!
Think about it, hes probably said it twice and the excuse that the Channel 7 spokeperson said was absolute nonsense …. “everyones responsible for their own actions” and he said it because he wants out from 7 and a good earned “Package”
he has had enuff.. but that doesnt give him the right to speak like that for the poor souls that have passed away 🙁
Even if he didn’t say anything, I’m glad he’s going down in national outrage.
He & Adam Boland have almost double handily dumbed down Australian commercial news. The rot set in with Seven first before spreading to Nine.
Koch, you and your Nine counterparts should Not be there, go home.
From what I have seen, the NZ networks have done a very good and sensitive job with their coverage.
I’m all for a Kochie-roasting but it’s just an expression. Let’s stop being so easily offended!
Had he tweeted “time to sleep like the dead in New Zealand”, I’d deem it inappropriate as well; But he didn’t.
bloody idiot. It’s like a war zone over in Ch-Ch at the moment and the rescue workers and police (who have been working longer than “36 hours straight”) don’t need a clown in their way. Go home Kochie and just make bad jokes on Sunrise as per normal – leave the reporting to the professional news journalists.
@David + IronicReference, thanks, musta missed that bit of news.
Here’s another bad thing that happened because Nine axed HHIS. When will they learn?!
/sarcasm
The twit should stay away from Twitter..
You would waste thier time reading his rubbish anyway
@ Steve
kidding or not Steve…poor timing and just a bad joke….. would you like it if you had lost someone in the earthquake???
He deserves to be bagged. He is an a grade tool
this is what happens when old people try to use technology :S
