Some readers have been asking about the state of play of NZ dramedy Outrageous Fortune, mindful that that show has just three more episodes left in its run.

The show doesn’t air on TEN this week due to the screening of Movie: Twilight.

But it does return on Friday February 18th at 10:30pm with Episode 16.

Another will air on February 25, which just leaves the finale to be confirmed. That will be the last ever episode after six seasons.

  1. I am Gutted this show is finishing. Apart from not getting to perv on Van ever again – it was one of the few decent things that was for adults and from down here. Apart from not being able to perv on Van anymore, I will miss Loretta who is just…wull… awesome. Looking forward to getting them all and watching without having to play hide and seek with the bloody TV guide or sit through 10’s stupid ads.

  2. Ten hasnt skipped any eps this season, they just been on at all different times and nights.

    I suggest buying S6 or even better the whole box set from online NZ DVDs sites, its same region as us and I’m sure Umbrella can’t release it till after its finally aired on FTA here.

    And if you are a huge fan like myself, take a trip over to Auckland and check out the museum exhibit they have going atm for the show! it’s choice!

    Any news of when Almighty Johnsons will air here David?

  7. Can’t believe this season is the last season!!! Surely another season can be written. Its the only show on TV we sit and watch together!!!! Even my aussie partner can’t miss an epidsode. Will miss OF soooo much. Thanks for the info about the last two epdisodes, I was wondering when the next episode will be on, you don’t know when its on with Channel 10 as they kept changing the days and times. Will miss OF heaps 🙁

  10. I also got fustrated with channel 10 not showing it so since season 1 i have been buying the seasons on dvd from NZ and I am so sad it has ended.. somtimes i would watch so much of it in a row it felt like I was living it…lol

  12. Sean, I too was very frustratrated at channel 10s treatment of OF. In the end I ordered the complete box set of every episode from an Nz DVD company b4 it was even released here. I think the web site was realgroovy.nz. It came in just a few days and was cheaper than getting it here. Won’t spoil the ending but was very OF. Very sad it has ended, now I will watch it from the start as oz tv showing had been very patchy. Hope this helps.

  13. Thank god for Foxtel IQ is all I have to say, Channel Ten has been shocking with playing Outrageous Fortune, if it wasn’t for series link I would have never known when it was going to be on, even then we’ve somehow missed an episode, wouldn’t be suprised if Channel Ten just didn’t play it!

  14. Hey Aussie OF fans – you can get a box set of all 6 seasons, I’m not sure I’f its available to you though. Google it and see if you can get it in Oz. Best season ever though was season 6 – be ready to laugh cry and go yeck!!

  18. Channel 10 skipped alot of episodes. I have every season on DVD including 6 that I got from NZ!! So much better to watch it from start to finish! I’m so sad that it’s finished the ending left me wanting more! One of the best show ever! Please bring it back 🙁

  19. I am lucky that I have Foxtel and have recorded the whole series so I havent missed any episodes but it is just so over the place. It used to air on a Monday night then went to a Friday night but didnt play some nights – geez its a bloody nightmare!!! But that seems to be the thing here with all the channels they just take shows off with no warning or they show repeats without letting you know that the series has actually finished! I will be so sad when OF ends – it has been just such a great show from start to finish! I think I will have to buy the DVDs also just so I can have them for the future.

  20. I agree with Sean, they started screening the episodes every night of the week at one stage and then just took them off, put them on Mondays, then on Fridays. This show deserves MUCH better treatment than it has gotten and that goes for the whole show, not just this season. It has never been consistent programming…….

  21. I agree with Sean. Channel 10 has really stuffed us around with my Fav Show. So sad to know it won’t be made anymore. Soooo enjoyed watching it. Love all the cast, Fab show. Am going to have withdrawal symptoms!! Forever Kiwi.

  24. Channel tens playing of outragous fortune over here has been nothing but a nightmare!!! Ive missed so many episodes, its very inconsistant. ive lost it all, gona have to get the DVD and watch it from start to finish. Big thumbs down to chan 10!!
