X Factor winner racks up trashed hotel room bill

Altiyan Childs will pay a hotel room clean up bill and there is now a different version of a recent pub brawl in Hobart.

That didn’t take long.

Singer Altiyan Childs has risen the rollercoaster ride of winning X Factor to trashy hotel rooms in just three months.

Childs has racked up a huge bill at Hobart’s Sullivan Cove Apartments, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Yesterday, Childs said he had apologised to the hotel and would pay the clean up bill of between $12,000 to $15,000.

Meanwhile there is also a different version of events over that brawl in a Hobart pub in which he was reportedly attacked.

David Kaine, night supervisor at Hobart’s Welcome Stranger Hotel, said Childs arrived at his pub after midnight and allegedly tried to hit on another man’s girlfriend.

But Childs claims he was simply trying to be friendly, saying: “My love for people will always get me into trouble.

“It’s got me into trouble this weekend, when I reach out and touch someone, it is me breaking down the boundaries.”

Riiiiiight…..

  1. @SusieRose, wow, I’m lost for words re the vitriol in your post. Just …..wow. It always amazes me when uber fans take umbrage to posts about their dreamboats that they unleash the most extreme abusiveness and obnoxiousness, whilst berating everyone else for being “haters”. Um, hello? I mean really, the irony is deafening. Pot, meet kettle. I read more “hate” in your post, SusieRose, than in any post here criticising (and justifiably so) Altiyan’s behaviour in Hobart.

  2. OMG….my point exactly. People are so judgemental these days. Too much time on their hands? Got no life? Why would you care enough to bad mouth someone? Guys are getting better at gossiping than girls these days.! No, I am not the girl he tried to pick up on. I am not even from Hobart. And I have only met Altiyan once. But I think the haters judgements are way off, unfair, desperate even, make up their own stuff (sadly enough) to bring him down, oblivious to his success. That is why I stood up for him…..plus

    If you can’t see that he is a true rocker, then I feel sorry for you. Perhaps you weren’t exposed to some growing up. All the judges, celebs, audiences were in agreement, his cd gone double platinum, doing sell out concerts, previous album sold out. We can’t All be wrong. We can’t deny he must be good.

    Most of todays music has been crap. Perhaps you like that repetitive computerised crap but I have hated it for soooooo long. I like rock. So I am ever so grateful to him for bringing the real sound of rock back in our lives but in a new unique and modern way. His original songs are awesome. So why would you care what he does or whether he is succeeding? I don’t care about the artists I don’t like. They got their fans. They can support them. I don’t go on their vids and post crap like a sour grape among their supporters.

  10. Why don’t you haters with your limited intellects and jelous, mean spirited and nasty minds go for a walk, a long one and stay there. What have you ever achieved? You also had to have a gang, four big cowards. You probably couldn’t have even blown him over if you were alone.

    Can’t you recognise a good person when he’s in front of you? Altiyan will recover from his injuries with the best wishes and love of his hundreds of thousands of fans, and his loving family.

    Where will you be? Feeling big in a pub with the police looking for you. Wow You’ve got a lot to look forward to haven’t you.

    Get over youselves and do something positive to contribute to this world, your environment, your community. Maybe you’ll be able to make yourselves proud and hold your heads up high.

  13. $12,000 – $15,000 is a lot of cleaning up – did he think he was in a cave again. @ Cilla please note he apologised and said he’s pay the bill, so he can’t be quite as pure and innocent as you like to believe. Still you believe what you want, I think he’s a Loser and for those who still remember him, will soon be forgotten

    I wasn’t sure about this guy when he was on X Factor, but after reading about how his “love for people” helps him “break down boundaries”, I’m more convinced than ever. Sounds like he is living in a hippy flower child time warp. Musicians haven’t been spouting that sort of crap since the Summer of Love back in 1967. And there is never any excuse for trashing hotel rooms, ever.

  17. @Cilla – you must be very special to know Altiyan so much better than the rest of us TV watchers. Try taking your rose-tinted glasses off for a moment and have a look at reality.

    Also maybe have a read back thru the diatribe that you just typed and do a little tidy-up before hitting “Submit” next time. Perhaps you could arrange it into paragraphs as I drifted off after the third sentence in that second big block of text.

  21. I now have read the Sunday Telegraph’s article. Thank god it is not opinionated like this one. Further more…Altiyan said that he was being friendly. He is single, even if he tried to crack onto another guys girlfriend (as if this has not happened to anyone before….or vice versa. I know it has happened to me lots of times). Never been cause for a fight. The girl should have made an excuse and walked. Further more, the article does Not say that Altiyan punched him first. Celebs will have their parties. Perhaps you would do the same in that position? Big deal. Do we expect everyone to be perfect? Take a look at your own personalities for a change. Are you perfect.?He said that he left the room before it got to that stage. He can’t be held responsible for everyone’s actions but he is taking responsibility for it as it was his room. Gone rock bottom? I don’t believe the head lines considering his cd has gone double platinum, previous cd sold out and is doing sell out concerts. Emotionally rock bottom….perhaps. I can imagine how tough it would be being in the spotlight because of the ridiculous judgement going around. Stop judging him. Stop dragging him down. Let the fans enjoy him. Why would you care if he is succeeding if you aren’t a fan? You know, Altiyan is really nice. For people to crap on him is disgusting. He is a decent person who feels bad about this. Stop being so judgmental. Gosh I can think of a number of rockstars who have done worse but they are amazing rockers. Who cares what they do in their own time. For people to involve themselves and drag him down like this…..you are going to have a lot of angry, disappointed fans too. So you are not only hurting him….you are hurting us too.   22. Geez, why does the media have to crap on about stuff, over dramatise, even make up stuff to get noticed to get people to read their stories. I don’t believe the media anymore….for a while now (after crap made up about numerous other celebs) all at some inicent person’s expense. This article, wrong tone. I had enough of that when Altiyan was on xfactor. I loved Altiyan’s voice since auditions and he rocked the roof off of xfactor. What’s so bad about that? If anything the contestants on these shows should be commended for going on there, exposing themselves and putting up with all the pressure. Australia should be supporting our local talent as do other countries. But this handful of nasty, bitter obsessed haters are an embarrassment to our country. Since when has Australia been known for Not being down to earth, Not giving anyone a fair go, Not being fairdinkim. Geez…..live and let live. Let the fans enjoy him. It blows my mind that anyone would have such issues with a talent show contestant who is succeeding very nicely. Give it a break. Go and find something you like & use your energy on that. It’s a joke.
