Seven’s Sunday morning AFL show AFL Game Day returns at 10am on Sunday March 20th.
It will air on both Seven and 7mate.
Host Hamish McLachlan and the AFL Game Day panel give you all the latest footy news, reviews and expert views. Crowd favourite Matthew Richardson and former Demons champion David Schwarz joins the panel along with Herald Sun’s Mark Robinson. Collingwood skipper Nick Maxwell is the special guest.
Last year the show also had a primetime edition during Finals but without The Matty Johns Show this seems unlikely to resume anytime soon.
Amazing Race replays will move to 11am on Seven.

This is a very poor show.It just manages just to hold on year after year.Foxtel and Channel 9 footy related programs for me any day
That’s a good move by Channel 7 showing “Game Day” in both NSW & QLD. The NRL is boring to watch.
AFL Gameday is a good show. It tries to mix hard hitting stories with some light banter. I think they do this well. the panelists are a good choice. I just they would bring back the concept of “that was the season that was”. That show was very good back in the 90s. It was a very thorough review show, it aired the night before the grand final. Season’s best is crap in my opinion. I think 7 should bring That was the season that was back the night of this years grand final. They can have Mark Robertson, Tom Harley and Bruce McAvaney as host would make sense given he hosted the show in the 90s.
@Jeremy
I wondered that too, but I don’t think 7 has HD facilities in Melbourne studios.
AFL Game Day aired in QLD/NSW at 10am Sundays last year as well, on 7TWO.
I said last week I bet that the Amazing Race replays will move to 11am, so I’m right.
great that it is also on 7mate- well done 7 – so as Brent says we can watch in NSW – hope 9 are taking notice – i want to be able to see their shows up here too…at a decent time
@ Brent, good point. I had forgotten the lack of access to AFL content in northern states.
I sure the 5 people in those states will be happy.
Channel 7 can’t do footy shows without them coming across as embarrassing and cliched.
@ Jeremy
The show can be watched nationally on 7mate… meaning viewers in QLD and NSW can gain access.
I wonder why this is on both channels. Just to have a HD simulcast?
