The Simpsons medley

Lisa it's your birthday / who needs the kwik-e-mart / we're talkin' softball / that name again is Mr. Plow....

That talented ‘Freddegredde’ (who previously sang a TV theme medley here) has now turned his hand to some Simpsons ditties.

This kid has too much time  -wait make that ‘too much talent!’

  1. I think from the description on the main page it was pretty clear this story was not about indigenous cadetships. Honestly, is it that painful to click on something, realise you don’t want to read it, and then close the tab?

  2. I think you may have taken my point the wrong way. I didn’t mean to sound brusque or offensive.

I just sometimes struggle to work out how “Former reality contestant on attempted murder trial” and “Kyle Sandilands buys pub” can be in the same column of ‘News’ as “SBS appoints Indigenous news cadet” and “Nine guilty of ad during election blackout”.

No need to get snippy, I thought you appreciated feedback? : /

(PS I already get MediaWeek and it is a wonderful tax deduction.)

    I s’pose I could not click on them…

    1. Fair nuff. You’ve given feedback now but the other question wasn’t much feedback really. I would like to think the 3 verticals that are offered here are pretty clear on their overall content. Short of adding new ones I think SBS adding Indigenous Cadet and Reality Contestant on Trial are indeed TV News, and certainly not Programming nor Pay TV. Even the Nine ad breach was ACMA News, if that doesn’t belong here I’m not sure where you think it should? News can be heavy or light, it’s not all equal weight and I actually seek to keep some fun in the biz. I agree as you have said, you don’t need to click on every story. Most are indicative of their tone with the headline / photo / excerpt -even a flippant one like this. I also host a TV Lounge for off-topic discussions (such as the one we’re now having). As for that pub? You’d hopefully remember that MediaWeek wrote it up as an investment by Mr. Sandilands from the last time you raised it. 😉

  3. You know what the sad thing is? Alf Clausen wrote most of these songs in the early seasons. Music as a form of satirical parody, surey the most difficult comedy to get right, is one of the key reasons why the showed totally kicked butt for all those years.

Where did the music go? 🙁

I know all these songs and love them all, great job!

  4. That was kick ass. If Matt Groening notices this i hope he gets this guy on the show because that is very good and clearyl he had talent.
