The courtcase beatween Seven and James Warburton & TEN has been set down to begin on Monday, April 4th.
In a statement, TEN said, “We believe it is in everyone’s interests and in the interests of fairness that all parties achieve a level of certainty on the issues involved.
“We regard the commencement of these proceedings as regrettable as there was no basis for any claim against us.
“We continue to look forward to Mr Warburton joining us as our chief executive, as previously announced, on 14 July 2011.”
Seven is seeking to exert a post-employment restraint in Warburton’s contract which would prevent him starting with TEN in July.
