Jessica Lange joins American Horror Story

Jessica Lange has been cast in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s new thriller, American Horror Story.

Jessica Lange working with Ryan Murphy? That gets my attention.

Lange has been cast in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s (Glee) new drama pilot American Horror Story.

We finally get a little more info on this one, which is a thriller that revolves around husband and wife Ben and Vivien Harmon (Friday Night Lights’ Connie Britton), who move into a creepy San Francisco home next door to nosy neighbor Constance (Lange) and her daughter with Down Syndrome who knows more about the house than everyone realises.

Also in the cast is True Blood‘s Denis O’Hare, who plays Larry the Burn Guy, a former resident of the home.

This will be Lange’s first series role. She was last seen in HBO’s 2009 miniseries Grey Gardens, for which she won an Emmy.

The Hollywood Reporter says Murphy and Falchuk are revising their script to expand the role for Lange -and really, why wouldn’t you?
