Report: Kyle in talks for Seven chat show

Could Kyle Sandilands be getting a late-night talk show on Seven?

A media report yesterday speculated that Kyle Sandilands is negotiating a new chat show for Channel Seven.

The project could be a late-night talk show, although it isn’t clear how it might conflict with his morning radio gig and frequent time spent in the US.

“Kyle’s been told it’s a goer but a pilot is yet to be shot,” a source close to Sandilands told News Ltd. “We’ll see where it goes but [Kyle’s] super keen on it.”

Sandilands is coming up Australia’s Got Talent next month, but isn’t returning to The X Factor.

  7. He does interviews on his radio show as well. How would this differ? I mean, his radio interviews aren’t exactly gold, how’s this supposed to be any better?

    Kyle’s ego is far too big to allow him to be a humble interviewer in the style of parkinson. Is he going to film this ‘australian’ talk show from LA like he does every other job?

    Are we going to have the majority of our tv and radio farmed out of the country soon i.e. Hamish & Andy

    Poor kids doing journalism, none of them have a hope of getting a hosting job in this country when we just recycle the same old dorks over and over again!

  9. They should go ahead with a show of this type besides with Oprah on the way out I am sure there is a market out there for a talkshow that isn’t aimed at housewives.

  11. Ugh! just…ugh! It’s bad enough that he’s on radio (when he’s on!), is Channel 7 really that desperate that they are putting this up as a credible option? Yet another reason Not to watch Seven!

    As for Jackie O, I hope they Do put her on the show, every show she has been on has been a complete disaster. She is, without question, the undisputed Queen of the ‘Shark Jump’.

    Brian McFadden on piano, Paul Scheaffer style, sharing poo and fart jokes, discussing their big weekends, Jackie-O doing gossip reports and live crosses, with the musical acts being either ex-idol performers or novelty acts from AGT…..

    Perfect in the late-nite spot, it’ll help us all fall asleep…..
