Standby for Logie Hall of Fame

Who will get the nod in the Logies Hall of Fame?

Tomorrow we get the announcement of the inductee into the 2011 Logie Awards Hall of Fame.

Who will it be?

It could be a person in front of, or behind the camera.

Or it could even be a show. So far there are just three shows inducted: Four Corners, Play School and Neighbours.

There are 23 men and just one female, Ruth Cracknell.

Who should get the nod tomorrow?

  1. Watching the Pridoner series On Foxtel I’m astounded how consistently written and well acted it is. Such a ground breaking show for its tine. Denise would be worthy of this too…,

  2. agreed with pick of Denise Drysdale , by all accounts shes one of the nicest & most down to earth people in the business, i think one would have to be to last that long. Noni & Kerri-ann are good picks too, probably for the same reasons…

  3. Hi David,

Could you please answer the following question for me:

are we able to vote for the silver logie categories? I know you can vote for the gold logie but what about the other categories?

    Thanks.

  4. Noni! Of course! She’d be so deserving, and so would Denise D, who’s got a great work ethic. I wouldn’t like to see KAK get it after her comments about ‘strays’ sort of revealed her prejudices. But I’ve got a feeling daveinprogress might have got it right with Patricia Edgar.

  5. Patricia Lovell, Patricia Edgar, Caroline Jones. These would be 3 women I would see as pioneers and worthy recipients. KAK deserves a longevity award – not sure about Hall of Fame – maybe living legend! Denise too many years in the wilderness – a comeback sure, but Jeanne Little would be ahead in my op.
Molly Meldrum, Daryl Somers, Kerry O’Brien for obviously vastly diff reasons.
Prisoner – yes certainly. Countdown a seminal tv show and pop culture transfomer.

  6. I actually think someone like Denise Drysdale should get it. She’s had 50 years in television which for anyone is an achievement and even more so for a female. She’s worked variety, drama, comedy, talk shows, daytime, primetime, commercial networks, ABC, even regional television.

I don’t think there is another female who has matched her longevity or versatility.

  7. It won’t be Prisoner, the 3 shows that were inducted were still running when inducted (induced?). Definittely time for another female though. Kerri-Anne or Denise are really the standouts.

  8. Kerri-Anne kennerley? She’s been the ‘daytime tv queen’ for a long time now (and a primetime flop though. lol). She’s be a good choice for hall of fame
