Bolt Report to interview Mark Latham

Andrew Bolt's first guests this Sunday are Tony Abbott, Mark Latham and Michael Kroger.

TEN’s new Sunday morning programme The Bolt Report will premiere this weekend, fronted by News Limited columnist and former Insiders regular, Andrew Bolt.

Guests on the first show are Leader of the Opposition Tony Abbott as well as Mark Latham and Michael Kroger -that’s two Libs and one (ex?) Labor, in case you were counting.

The show, which has already attracted wide comment before it even debuts, is promising to focus on “strong political and social comment in form of opinion commentary, panel discussion and interviews.”

It airs at 10am Sunday on TEN followed by Meet the Press at the new time of 10:30am

  1. They should rename the show ‘I Hate Labor’

That’s probably the only thing that will come out of Bolt’s mouth. Ten you idiots. Just a forum for racist, sexist, politically motivated rubbish. Hope no one watches.

  2. @ Davo, isn’t the “brunch” idea more for those inner city “Greenie” sit in their cafes and discuss world issues like they know what they are talking about when they are completely oblivious of the real world living in the inner suburbs?

    Get your sterotypes right.

  3. This show is going to be terrible i would never have thought a commercial FTA network in this country had the balls to put a show like this to air. Now that network ten has new owners which are also on the board the game has difinetly changed. One way or the other Network Ten has subsituted one risk (ONE HD) for another (the Bolt Report). The Network risks alienating the public especially if it is biased for or against a party. This definetly has Gina Rhinehart’s fingerprints all over it.

Just one question David Where will Video Hits be aired on sunday on 11 or at a later time or are Ten just cutting it to just Saturday mornings?

  4. The problem I have with Bolt, and his fellow 2GB/MTR/2UE radio people is that there is no balance. There is no opportunity for reasonable discourse. Its one way traffic.
Simply, “Bolt” will attract those that want to hear a right wing rant, followed by guests that support the rant. I’m not sure how many right leaning people watch tv on Sunday mornings. Methinks they will be at a cafe/brunch….

  5. I’m sure there won’t be an unkind word said against Labor with that lot. Let’s see how many more viewers Ten can alienate with this programming move.

  6. bolt is so bent right he cant walk straight…he will be trying to get to the 10 studios going right around the round about and will never leave it…….i think ill be doing something else sunday mornings than watching his propaganda… ( except hes right on climate )

  7. I remember John Howard always banging on about ‘where was the ABCs right wing Philip Adams’. Clearly he never listened to Ian McNamara on a Sunday morning.

  8. Bolt is always raving on that the ABC doesn’t have balanced view..His balance tips really far to the right.
Bolt will fashion himself on all right wing commentators (Alan Jones,Glen Beck Bill O’Reilly)who believe that you have to yell and talk over guests in order to have the audience watch you.Bolt is such a bully and if someone disagrees , he will yell and shout and overtalk .Boring!!
Ms Rinehart will be all eyes and glued to her TV set.

  9. It looks like we might have Australia’s own version of Glenn Beck! There are so many idiots that will go for Bolt’s rubbish.

Hopefully though, this will be axed just like Beck’s show was.

  10. Will be an interesting watch but not sure Bolt works as a host rather than a guest. Remember as a host he will be staring down the barrel talking TO the audience whereas as a guest he only has to talk to the host. There’s a big difference.

  11. So, he’s going to interview a Liberal leader, a Liberal powerbroker, and a man who hates Labor and can’t resist attacking it and all its representatives. You’ve got to love the balance there.

  12. Sounds like must-watch TV for rusted-on Liberal voters and mining magnates.
All others should steer well clear, I think.
On a personal note I wish Andrew Bolt poor ratings, bad reviews and no luck whatever in his new venture.
