Fuzzy: Video Hits ending is sad for viewers, not me.
"It is sad for the show and the viewers, I'm not sad about this job that I love coming to an end," says Fuzzy.

Video Hits co-host Faustina “Fuzzy” Agolley left a long statement on the end of the show on Facebook yesterday.
Here are some select excerpts:
“It is a shame that the show is coming to an abrupt end, especially after it’s influence on the Australian music industry and for Australians who love music and have watched the show across two and a half decades. This decision was out of all of our hands and it was in the eyes of those who decided the fate of the show, was purely a business decision rather than a content one,” she wrote.
“For those who have sent messages of support, suggesting how horrible this situation is, I appreciate your words of kindness, it is sad for the show and the viewers, I’m not sad about this job that I love coming to an end. With my perspective, this is nothing compared to some of the stuff I have had to deal with in my personal life.
“As for my future, I relish in the unknown, I appreciate the job offers that have already come my way, I have ideas as to where I want to continue to work, hopefully something more cerebral… Where i dont say ‘dude’ out of habit every few minutes, an Australian production or overseas, who knows?
“Thank you audience of Video Hits, old and new, those who watched intently and for those who had it on in the gym, in hospitals, in airports, or on in the house as ‘background noise’. You are the very reason why this show existed, to share music, the great communicator. Love to our dear friends at Rage, “Rrrraaaaageee!!!”, Channel V and MTV. Keep at it, you’re the only hope of music tv continuing in this country. I wish you all the best.”
Meanwhile on his Twitter page, Dylan Lewis said, “Yo. Ta for all Ur nice messages re: Video Hits. Uze r ace.”
And he supported a Twitter move to #BringBackRecovery.

“I really hope another network picks her up.”
I would … drool drool.
WTF can the cost be of a single camera cheap ass studio presentation, with free content from record companies, broadcast in a timeslot that no other corporate wants ???
dumb move CH Tin, fail.
I feel the reason for canceling Video hits could because of the internet and fees involved with broadcasting wide range of music video hits every Sunday/Saturday
I want music on tv.
Okay Ten, if this show is gone give us a cheap music show on channel Eleven or One, no interviews, just music videos, cheap to run, and one hell of a lot better than repeats of Happy Days, The Brady bunch, etc.
Can just one of these digital channels give us a Rage-type music show that does not screen when we are all in bed????
Is this too much to ask for????????
Video Hits gone after 6th Aug. Gee i wonder if Murdoch will show repeats of Masterchef on Saturday & Sunday mornings. No more TEN for me i’ll be watching Rage from now on
To be honest i cant talk with much authority on Video Hits because i’ve hardly watched it for the last 10 yrs but imho they jumped the shark since they stopped playing the top 20. When i did watch it in more recent yrs it was littered with constant ad breaks & those damn competitions, with just a handful of content.
it would be great to see the ABC start another music show in the tradition of Recovery, though maybe in a 1 hr format, they probably have enough overseas content to cover international acts like the awesome ‘Later With Jools Holland’, but another show to cover local acts is sorely needed.
Hahaha @ GuanoLad
I used to watch Video Hits regularly years ago but now the show is full of interviews, competitions, commercials… and not much music.
As for the music channels on Foxtel, I watch MTV because, unlike Channel [V], they play the official ARIA charts every week, which I enjoy. But for some reason, for the past month now, they took ‘ARIA’ off the name and is now referred to as the ‘Singles Chart’ but when I check online, the chart posted on the ARIA website and what is played on TV are identical. Not sure what’s happening there.
Yeah, go Rrrraaaaageee!!!
I agree that MTV lost the plot long ago
There was a time where it was nothing but the Real World, Jackass, the Norwegian version of Jackass, Wildboyz. Although there was a show involving bus/road trip type show that wasn’t that bad though i can’t remember what it was called.
@Chris yeah that is true but Austar don’t get the extra channels they only have the normal MTV.
I really hope another network picks her up.
Welcome to obscurity Fuzzy, but don’t worry, Dylan will be there to keep you company.
Fuzzy message/statement is better written then the poorly worded press release message David Mott did early in the week. Clearly Mott couldn’t give a stuff about music on TV in this country.
Dylan Lewis is a few things
GuanoLad – thanks for the laugh 🙂
cant say im too fussed to see vh gone, but nice way to exit there Fuzzy.
DansDans, there are three 24/7 music channels from MTV now in addition to the main terrible reality shows one. On 808, 810 and 812 (I don’t know what they’re called, just the numbers). That’s one more than Channel V has with only V Hits and MAX.
What a mature and well-adjusted young lady, I like her very much.
Good luck to her in the future.
As for Dylan Lewis, @GuanoLad hit the nail on the head.
One small comment about Fuzzy’s message – I dont think MTV has any hope of continuing to support music in OZ – Its just Rage and the Channel V channels.
A very gracious and humble woman. I’m sure she will continue to light up the small screen somewhere.
Dylan Lewis is a poet.
