Was Sarah Murdoch whisked into the ASTRA Awards?

Last week at the ASTRA Awards host of Australia’s Next Top Model host Sarah Murdoch was one of the Presenters.

She also won the Favourite Female award, which was some good news after a hellish week for the Murdoch family.

But yesterday The Australian speculated that her public appearance may have been limited under the duress of the News Corporation scandal : “Diary understands that Murdoch was whisked in, and whisked right back out again, and why not? If the Murdoch-haters would whack an 80-year-old man, sitting humbly, giving evidence, why wouldn’t they go after a woman?”

I can’t verify whether she mingled at the party afterwards, but despite being one of the last to walk the Red Carpet with Director of Television, Brian Walsh, Sarah Murdoch was certainly polite enough to answer questions from media.

No whisking here.
