With its final season looming, actress Dana Delany wants to return to Desperate Housewives as Katherine Mayfair.

At an ABC party following the recent Fall TV press tour, media spied her chatting with the show’s creative team.

“You just saw the deal go down right here: I’m coming back,” the Body of Proof actress tells PopcornBiz.

“I think we’ll make it happen.

“We don’t know if it’s for sure – it’s all about scheduling. We’ll make it happen. I just want to resolve things. I would like Katherine to be happy. And gay – I want her to stay gay.”

Guess Nicollette Sheridan doesn’t share the same enthusiasm. Even though she was killed off she could have returned for a flashback episode.

Save for one little lawsuit…

  1. It would be good to see Dana Delany back on DH. She was a good character that should come back. With Brothers and Sisters gone perhaps Seven could bring it back to Mondays and put it on at 9:30pm

  3. Love the idea of Dana coming back to Wisteria Lane to wrap up Katherine. I am just loving Body of Proof though. She is awesome in that show.

    I recon Seven should fast-track the show and show it on Seven 9:30pm Tuesdays behind Packed to The Rafters. I feel it would benefit being behind such a strong show and could really do well if it had the “Final Season” promotional push behind it. Why move it to 7two for its final season?

    When it comes to fast-tracking the only 3 i am pretty sure of will be Criminal Minds, Castle and Body of Proof. The rest is anyones guess. Bones wont be fast-tracked because it starts too late in the year due to Emily’s pregnancy and will only have 13 episodes this season so Seven would want to hold them all until February or even a bit later. I guess the only other shows Seven could show would be Downton Abbey or a handful of the new offerings they have picked up from the US.

  4. I love Dana and if there is a way for her to be back on Wisteria Lane I’m all for it but in the meantime I am very content in seeing her in Body of Proof.

  7. Seven should show the last season of Desperate Housewives on 7Two Mondays at 8:30pm just hours after it airs in the US. I know there will be many Sunday’s in the US between Sept 2011 & May 2012 where no
    episodes will air and therefore no new
    episodes will be available to air here on
    Mondays but I think Desperate Housewives deserves a better timeslot then Thursdays at 9:30pm and having it fast tracked on 7TWO would be good.
