As previously tipped, Nine has greenlit a series of Celebrity Apprentice Australia to be fronted by Mark Bouris (The Apprentice Australia).
Produced once again by FremantleMedia Australia, it will feature well-known and controversial celebrities raising money for charities.
The top prize is $100,000 for the winning ‘celebrity apprentice’ for their charity.
Bouris appeared in the only Aussie format of The Apprentice in 2009 but since then Nine has invested in his wealth management company Yellow Brick Road while FremantleMedia has signed with Mark Burnett’s company to produce more local versions of his format. It was really only a matter of time before a new series was formalised.
Nine says of the new series, “Celebrity Apprentice Australia will feature intriguing people in completely different circumstances than you have ever seen them in before.”
Casting suggestions please, people?

as someone said in another post. this wont work because our celebrities aren’t crazy enough. Think Gary Busey, Latoya Jackson…..
wonder if Darryl Summers will be on this, he is one of those pollarising people , viewers love or loathe
I can only see the nine network celebrities doing this or celebrities who are out of work or who are lacking in any talent. If they get a good mixture of celebrities mix them with the right tasks then it could be interesting.
there’s obviously a typo in the title – it should be “Channel 9 Celebrity Apprentice Australia” 🙂
Humphry Bear!
So what’s the prize for winning?
This sounds appalling…DWTS without the glitter.
i bet most if not all of the contestants will be from channel 9
On no not another show for Brynne Edelsten to pop up on.
No doubt they’ll drag out some former Big Bother or Bogan Idol contestant from years ago.
Being on Nine they’d have to use someone who has appeared on Underbelly.
I’m guessing Shelley Craft, Jules Lund, Guys from both footy shows……
I am sick of celebrity stuff.
The names keep coming but I’m still yawning !!
I’m just glad it is back in some form – thouroughly enjoyed the first series.
Susie Eleman
Should be good. I don’t think ham&an would be any good but Brynne Edelstein, Pauline Hanson and Kyle Sandilans would be perfect.
They should try to get Joey from the amazing race. Or Mel from MKR.
Kim Duthie.
This is amazing news! Definately Kerri-Anne…..and Maria Venuti
I’m going to come up with a dream list!
“celebrity”
…………oh, this should be good.
*sigh*
I was hoping this show would come back, but not in a Celebrity format. There’s enough of that already.
Is it rude to Yawn?
How about Hamish & Andy – after their gap year.
Dave Hughes?, Shane Crawford?, Jules Lund?, Hamish Blake?? James Brayshaw?
I am assuming it would have to be those who are not attached to another network.
Hopefully not too many of the usual suspects! Any idea if it is this year or next? I’m thinking 2012. Does anyone else see it at 7pm weeknights?
Def good news; I would like to see the following: Pauline Hanson, Brynne Edelstein, Derryn Hinch, Dame Edna, Kerri Anne and maybe Kyle Sandilands if he’s available, hahaha!
Paula Duncan – she’s the charity/events queen of Sydney.
