Beer brand brews up a Fast Show revival

The cast of UK comedy The Fast Show will revive their sketch show for a new series of online shorts, as part of a deal with Fosters UK website.

All cast members except Mark Williams will create new sketches as part of the deal, 11 years after the show ended.

The online series, which ran on television from 1994 to 1997 with a special in 2000, will reunite Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson, Simon Day and Caroline Aherne.

Co-creators Whitehouse and Higson said: “We are delighted to bring back The Fast Show not only for our old fans but also, we hope, for a whole generation of new ones.”

Foster’s UK website has already aligned itself with comedy with Alan Partridge’s Mid-Morning Matters attracting over three million hits last year and Vic & Bob’s Afternoon Delights.
