Dear TEN, about the Emmys….

With Jane Lynch hosting the Emmy Awards, directly before Glee's new season would it be timely for TEN to screen them?

With Jane Lynch hosting the Emmy Awards, directly before Glee‘s new season returns in the US, would it be timely for TEN to screen them?

Surely, yes.

FOX8 brings them live via satellite once again on Monday September 19, but what about a delayed broadcast for Free to Air please? Maybe on ELEVEN?

There are plenty of TEN shows in the running: Glee, Modern Family, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Good Wife, Dexter, The Office, Nurse Jackie, Raising Hope, Friday Night Lights, So You Think You Can Dance.

If you want TEN to screen the Emmys leave a message here, guys.

You blogged, we listened?

  1. please channel ten,air the emmys. The emmy awards are so glamorous and i love seeing my favourite actors and tv shows honoured. If it’s good enough to air the tv shows, hen it is good enough to air them being awarded 🙂

  2. Can someone please tell me how channel ten will see this? do they check.
We should really email channel ten to Wake the hell up and screen what people want! not the stupid renovators or any other S**t that no body likes.

People love american content and we should be able to watch the emmy awards.

Please put them on Network Ten.

Make sure this article remains prominent on the TVTonight.com.au site please!

  3. I too have Foxtel, but it seems extremely unfair to those that don’t have pay-tv. Foxtel can be selective too – they had the SAG awards on Showcase (a premium channel which I don’t have) so missed out there – as did most people, I assume.

Come on Ten and FTA in general – awards shows are enjoyed by many people – put them on for everyone to see!

  4. Ten should show it live, but do it on Eleven and repeat it uncut on Eleven at night, as well, rather than on Ten, where an edited version will only be shown at night.

  5. The Emmy’s are like the Australian Open or the Olympics – a pain in the rear as it means the delaying of normal programs. I am glad it is on FOX8 as it means one less ocassion of programs being bumped. If people want to see the show, then pay for it.

  6. I have Foxtel so its no loss to me, however i used to not have Foxtel and i know how it feels when these events are not shown on FTA.

Come on TEN get with it. You have 3 channels and you can’t show this event on one of them? How slack are you. No wonder you can’t win anything because it seems to me you don’t care. Please TEN give us what we want. Look at Seven for inspiration. They use their digital channels for their viewers when it comes to sporting events and awards shows, aka the Brownlow, and the AFL Finals Live tonight for us NSW viewers, so get with the 21st Century and give us viewers what we want, even if its on Eleven. People will watch!

  7. You make a good case, David. People seem to be pushing for it to replace Futurama and The Simpsons on Eleven but I think Ten is the obvious choice. Negus, 7pm Project, The non-Renovators, Underwhelming Boss Australia, Not-that-Good News World – none of those rate that well. Have a one hour News at Five and show it from 6pm.

  8. @alfagirl. No other country in the world has as much American content on their main television channels as Australia does. Still not a good reason to have even more American content on Australian TV. In fact, that’s a good reason not to have even more American content.
