FMC to hit refresh

Movie Network Channels will unveil a new idents for the Family Movie Channel.

Tomorrow Movie Network Channels will unveil a new look Family Movie Channel (FMC).

Since November 2009, the channel’s audience has resonated with under 12’s and 25-54s but the refresh will pursue the 12-17 year old teen market.

The channel says new idents will embrace all things fun, “it’s adventurous, cheeky, and spontaneous and this will be reflected in all broadcast and marketing initiatives.”

Peter Jenetsky, General Manager of Content Strategy & Marketing of Movie Network Channels says:  “We at Movie Network Channels are excited to see FMC develop as a channel brand and essentially take its first steps to navigating and broadening its appeal even further, to now be more inclusive of the teen audience group.

“The creative development and executions are distinctive and unique to the subscription television industry and were developed with our long-term creative partners, Tactic Creative Services, led by Megan Brown, Creative Director and Sam Hall, Executive Producer.”

FMC launches the $13M prime time family action drama Conspiracy 365 in January 2012.

  1. A more worthwhile story will be Movie Extra putting out a Press Release stating that it no longer has the broadcast licence to screen The L Word and that since it hasn’t screened since Seasons 1 & 2 and Movie Extra has moved the show over, that W will screen The L Word Seasons 5 & 6, next year, weekdays at 3pm (AEST)! W – We Know The L Word and We Know Drama!
