Bumped: Charlie’s Angels

From next Tuesday night Charlie's Angels are flying to GO!

Nine’s fast-tracking of Charlie’s Angels will now become GO!’s fast-tracking of Charlie’s Angels.

The reboot is being booted to one of Nine’s digital channels after just two episodes.

This week it pulled 639,000 viewers, a drop from 815,000 the week before. Nine fell behind TEN on Tuesday this week.

Nine will replace the show with double episodes of The Big Bang Theory.

A new episode of Big Bang plays at 7:30pm on Monday.

  1. Ch9 is a trainwreck of a so called tv station.

‘they were desperate for new content”

Are the episodes of TBBT ‘new’ or repeats? mmm

Bloggers on here should not be 2 steps ahead of professional tv programmers should they? But it seems that both 9 & 10 just don’t know what to do any more.

  2. @Josh while I understand your predicament, if it wasn’t for digital channels, this show would have simply be removed from the schedule altogether, so really, you are no worse off.

  3. I don’t see why every one is complaining, at least they are leaving it on just moving it to a different channel.

As David said they are desperate right now, gave it a go and the ratings are just not there, if they had held it over or just put it on GO! to start with people would still be complaining.

I won’t be surprised if it’s gone in the US before Christmas.

Yes so people will miss it if they don’t have or can’t get digital but is it really much of a loss?

  4. I did watch it and wondered what was the deal with Charlie’s voice. John Forsyth had such a vevety tone and I thought that Robert Wagner did too, but it sounded like he was putting on a voice that was not Charlie like at all. The original Angles were sexy but still had innocence. I think this current show, lacked inocence, but then is that a sign of times?

  5. “The figures were shoddy because the show is shot.” David, you put an ‘o’ where an ‘i’ should be in that last word.

Every one predicted this weeks ago. 2 weeks, ratings would be crap, would be replaced by Big Bang. Nine is so predictable.

  6. @Josh: Do you really think TV networks care about their viewers? It’s dollar signs through and through. You’re kidding yourself if you think otherwise…

  7. Wow! Totally shocked Nine dumps a show for more Big Bang Theory!

Silly of them to put it on Nine in the first place. The show just seems like a perfect fit for Go. Then again, I’m thinking of the original Go, you know, the one that played youth shows. Before it became filled with endless repeats of old shows and the billionth repeat of the same movies. I’m actually rather surprised that the Go programming department allowed a new, youth-based show on their network…

  8. Nine gave it a go. The figures were shoddy because the show is shot. Think they had to respond. Might have been better to never put it on Nine in the first place, but they have been desperate for new content.

  9. C’mon! I live in the M.I.A. with no digital sister channels and am sick of networks doing this. First it was Burn Notice being bumped from TEN to ONE, then No Ordinary Family from Seven to 7mate, and now this. Do the networks actually care about their viewers or is it only the dollar signs and the ratings numbers that they care about? People bag out pay-TV saying people its for people that are dumb enough to pay for it, but atleast they care enough about their viewers to play an entire season in the one timeslot (even if the amount of repeats is double that of FTA channels).
