Catriona not about to getaway to Kerri-Anne’s chair

While rumours about the future of KAK continue, temp host Catriona Rowntree has played down any speculation she will become a permanent fixture.

“I know there’s a lot of talk at the moment but all I know is that I got a call asking to fill in and there’s not much else to it,” she told News Ltd.

“People aren’t aware how hard Kerri-Anne works – hers is a full-on gig. She’s on a well-earned break.

“And the reality is I live on a farm and I have two little boys. Even if anything did eventuate, I just don’t know how we could make it work the way my life is right now. Plus I’m contracted to Getaway all of next year. Sorry to be boring.”

  1. What? Contracted to Getaway throughout next year. Fantastic! This show should be moved back to Thursdays next year. Catriona is great and should stick to Getaway but I don’t mind her filling in for Kerri-Anne. With her family and farm, Catriona shouldn’t get a show like Kerri-Anne as it would be too much for her but it would be nice if she had something else. Her personality shows she should be able to do a kids show. She would have been a lot of fun on Play School.

  2. I have always found Catriona very pleasing and easy on the eyes. I would love it if they gave her a chat show to replace Kerri Anne, who whilst has been good at her job should i think transfer to radio and some other venture, if she is as busy as Catriona said she was.

  4. Always liked her, even way before Getaway.

    Watch Kerrie-Anne maybe once every 2 years, great person as well.

    If she ever does get offered the job and takes it, then I hope she does a great jon.
